Big K.R.I.T. brushed with Southern royalty on Big Boi’s new single “Gossip” featuring the legendary UGK. Just moments before the record premiered on Wednesday, Rap-Up TV sat down with the Mississippi rapper-producer to talk about his featured spot.

“I feel blessed to be a part of Big Boi’s first single,” said K.R.I.T., who asked the OutKast MC to email him the instrumental first because he was worried that the track would get into the wrong hands.

In addition to “Gossip,” he is cooking up more music for Big Boi’s sophomore album Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors. “I got two or three records I’ve made that I’m definitely sending to Big Boi,” shared K.R.I.T. “I really feel like I could create something that he’d love and that he’d want to use.”

The “I Got This” hitmaker can also be heard on Juicy J’s new song “Knock U Out,” which he produced.
