Rap-Up.com || Rihanna Mourns Loss of Grandmother

Rihanna bid farewell to her grandmother Dolly, who passed away over the weekend. The “We Found Love” singer was in Sweden for the Peace & Love festival when she got the news. RiRi had a close relationship with her grandmother, whom she affectionately called “Gran Gran.” Before she went overseas, she had the chance to spend time with her in the hospital and threw her a birthday party in March.

She shared memories via Twitter and Instagram. “Goodbye #grangranDOLLY get your beauty rest until I see you,” wrote RiRi.

Her fans sent her their prayers and even ex-boyfriend Chris Brown reached out. “Praying for family and the lost loved one. She was like my grandmother. Love you GRAN GRAN! RIP,” tweeted Breezy.

Chris’ mother Joyce Hawkins also offered her condolences. “ANGEL MAY GOD BE WITH YOU AND YOUR FAMILY IN YOUR TIME OF SORROW. LOVE YOU ANGEL,” she told Rihanna, who responded, “thank you! Love u mama.”

Sorry about that Ri Ri. Just saw the news i lost bpth of my Grandmas in the same year. I had to fly to Jamaica three times in 2006. I sing Reggae online so i,m not a big star but if i was they would say i sacrifice my grandma’s too. Sad people needs to get a life! Love you Ri Ri so much! u are a Queen!
