Before the actual fireworks went off, Lauryn Hill lit up the stage with a surprise set at The Roots’ 4th of July Jam in Philadelphia on Wednesday. The Fugees frontwoman, who recently plead guilty to tax evasion, worked up a sweat as she performed her hits including “Doo Wop (That Thing)” and “Ex-Factor” in a short white dress with red and python platform heels. Common, Queen Latifah, and Joe Jonas were also on the bill.
Watch Ms. Hill set off sparks with her spirited set.
@keshia, LMFAO!!!! This was Horrid. Lauryn just needs to go raise those 10 children, and pray they give her a good deal when her sentencing comes later this year, she’s is so DONE!!! What a waste of talent.
@MinajRules2012, yo!!whoever you are you sound like a reaaaall hater LMAO!!! atleast she doin something who r u????minajrules2012???sound like you the wak one
I was there last night one in a life time experience she was so live and was really feeding off the crowds energy her performance was the best….Point Blank!!
None of you on this post know what it’s like to go DIAMOND off of ONE album WITHOUT the help of the “elite”. So your opinions don’t matter. Lauryn Hill is an overcomer. She still has her soul and acknowledges God in the midst of them “nailing her”. Such an inspiration. Such a beautiful soul. Yes we all are human, but i’m definitely inspired!
I really appiecrate your rawness and honesty in these episodes, especially this one. I think that self help in general, particularly from the authors and experts, has become cliche and lost a lot of authenticity. As you share your personal journey, I think the rest of us will continue to feel inspired. Not everything should be cool, calm, and collected at all times, other wise you’re not being human, you’re not being truthful, you’re not being you. Your voice on Tuesday’s panel even inspired me to reflect and talk about a past relationship that I had on my blog tomorrow. Thanks for being awesome and open.Much love sis
