The-Dream serves up a quick fix of his video for “Dope Bitch” featuring Pusha T. The Grammy-winning hitmaker takes us behind the scenes of the gritty-and-glamorous shoot in Los Angeles. He stands on a mound of cocaine bricks and rides alongside a model in a classic car, while his G.O.O.D. Music co-star takes it back to his dope boy roots in his scenes.
Dream is readying his fourth album Love IV MMXII for an August 14 release. It is expected to feature collaborations with Mary J. Blige and Gucci Mane.
All this glorification of drug imagery and culture is a disservice to our generation. This is not the crack 80s.
Using the “dope” metaphor is creative, and I love the song, but the video could have been a little more thought out and no so basic/literal in its treatment.
Let’s learn from the past and progress a little bit.

The video looks okay, but I don’t like the use of cocaine bricks. I like the song though.
