Rap-Up.com || Nicki Minaj Performs ‘Pound the Alarm’ on ‘Tonight Show with Jay Leno’

Nicki Minaj invaded the stage on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” on Friday. Dressed in a nude-colored bodysuit with strategically-placed pasties, the Ice Age: Continental Drift star performed her new single “Pound the Alarm” and sat down on the couch.

During her interview, she reminisced about her previous job waitressing at Red Lobster. “I didn’t want to be there and the customers could tell,” said Nicki. “They always want too much bread. That’s what bothered me. Please, if you go to Red Lobster, stop ordering extra bread.”

The Young Money raptress will kick off the U.S. leg of her “Pink Friday” tour on Monday in Chicago with special guest 2 Chainz.

I must admit this was one of her best performances. I personally dont think shes that great of a performer but it was kept simple, this is a dance record and although the dances were kept REALLY simple (hip rolls and conga lines) Nick stayed up with it.
Dont care much for the song since its sounding like every other electro pop song out right now. Do ya thing tho!

ima bad bitch no muzzle! well its just funny that in less than three years she has become one of the most successful female rappers ever.. i think that the fact that she is not genre specific is her best quality… and probably one of the biggest reasons she has been having such success world wide… she just beat black eyed peas record of having a single debut in the top ten and stay there for 20 weeks on billboards hot 100.. that was back in 2009.. starships hit 21 weeks this month.. like really? her performances are getting better bc she is touring now… all artists get better as performers this way…

@nojusthenry, Agreed but it took her to go pop (a genre that would make that possible) to do that. She NEVER came off as a Pop artist. That’s a sellout. I see her success but to walk around calling a queen and so on and so forth is over doing it. She’s gotten better at performing but she’s definitely not an entertainer. Most artist came in the game with that.

@EHHHH, I used to be a complete fan of hers during her mixtape days, I know what she was doing. Not complaining over her rapping and singing either. What you don’t understand is, she’s putting out FULLY complete pop music. Her mixtape pop music didn’t give you that pop flow. It gave you R&B, Pop, and HIP-HOP flow. If there wasn’t a difference, a lot of people wouldn’t have a problem with it.
