Rap-Up.com || Frank Ocean Gets Flashed by the Paparazzi

Now that Frank Ocean’s star has risen, he won’t be able to avoid the paparazzi too much longer. Photographers spotted the “Pyramids” singer in Vancouver before he hit the stage on the second stop of his channel ORANGE tour. He kept it casual in a FUCT T-shirt, baggy Nike sweatpants, and Jordan sandals as he strolled the streets while talking on the phone.

When asked about Target pulling his album from shelves, Ocean didn’t have anything to say. The retail giant refuses to carry the CD because of its early digital release to iTunes.

But that hasn’t stopped critics and his peers from raving about ORANGE. Earlier in the week, he received the ultimate compliment from Adele, who wrote, “Frank Ocean your so so special. Congratulations on such a STUNNING album.”

It’s gonna be a good few years before an artist even gets close to those records (considering ’21′ was No. 1 in more than 30 countries, and was also in the Guinness World Records). Just being honest.

I feel like ever since he came out, people are putting him on this pedestal. Don’t get me wrong, it was a brave move and I acknowledge that, but I feel like people are blowing his “image” up. Let the man breathe a little, now! He is an amazing artist, but people need to drop the hype and start appreciating what is.

@Miles, well ADELE last album “21″ has sold already more than 22M albums world wide & keeps on selling like it’s hot tamale, I wouldn’t be surprise if by the end of the year, she hits the 25M mark… You know how HUGE that is? I mean, nobody has done that for what? like the past decade…. She had 3 #1s back-to-back on the Hot 100, 2 #1′s internationally. She will soon reach 10M albums in the U.S. alone, she has won already more than 5 Grammy’s. The critics love her music, are always praising for her, she writes her own shit. She makes amazing music, she has a great voice, she is well respected by her music peers, etc…
