Rap-Up.com || Dawn Richard Unveils 3 Covers for ‘Pretty Wicked Things’

Dawn Richard reveals not one, but three covers for her new song “Pretty Wicked Things.” One religious-themed photo depicts Jesus and his mother Mary, the second features roaring lions, and the third is a close-up of Dawn with black hair and nails. The dark track, produced by her Armor On collaborator Druski, will drop tomorrow on iTunes.

Dawn has shared some of the lyrics with her Hearts in advance.

“I heard the thunder/ Looked like lightning/ I didn’t know under could be so frightening/ Until love went dark/ Lost the sun in your heart,” she sings.

All 3 covers are somewhat “dark” so I have a feeling this song wont be a upbeat “happy/light” track. Which also means she might be singing in that low husky tone that I love, oh so much!!! Dawn hasn’t let me down yet, so I’m ready! : )

Give her a break. I was going to come on her and bash her…. But if Danity Kane was a group we loved we’d support all the girls in whatever they do keep it positive so hopefully they understand that not one of them is bigger than the force that is danity kane. for instance dawn is hungry for the stage, she’s been booking alot lately a lable will sign her. Aubrey is signed to SRC/UniversalRecords, and releasing a music video for ‘Wrecking Ball’ written by Pia from american idol. Shannon is doing a country ep, and her single “im out” is out. D.woods has a single on itunes called 2 The Bottom which she is releasing a video to. And Aundrea ‘lil muff’ is doing the next big thing…

I like Dawn, I think she has a beautiful voice, but I also feel like she’s trying TOO HARD to be “different”. When Dawn was in Danity Kane in my opinion she was always the laid back “cool” one(along with Shannon). The same with Dirty Money. I always got a “T-Boz/Pam(from Total)” vibe from her. She’s trying to hard to be “exotic”. Her last music video was wayyyy over the top, along with these 3 covers.
