Rap-Up.com || Alicia Keys Debuts New Short Haircut

It’s a new day and a new look for Alicia Keys. The Grammy-winning songstress has chopped off her long locks in favor of a short ‘do for summer.

She debuted her new hairstyle on Twitter, writing, “Look what I done did!!;-))) its an #aknewday in EVERY way!!!!” Her husband Swizz Beatz added, “My baby done cut it all off :) New Day 4 real amazing !!!!”

The fresh look goes along with the campaign for Alicia’s new song “New Day,” which she released last month. She has been in the studio with Swizz, Babyface, Pop & Oak, and Rico Love working on her fifth album.

@Realist : Navy-Nazi, Who said she plotted it out and well, she doesn’t have RED hair. Alicia is genuine and just because she cut her hair doesn’t mean it’ a branding concept. The album came out and she cut her hair. So? I don’t believe she cut her hair to fit in with her record but it did work out that way. She is not a hypoctite and I don’t think she cut her hair for attention to the album. She’s been getting enough attention lately with her support for the Obama campaign and she didn’t even show her hair off there.

Anyway, I’m also looking so forward to the new album and I’m crazy about “New Day”. Can’t wait until it starts getting more air play.

I LOVE it. Alicia is one of those women who don’t need to rely on weaves or anything like that. It’s easy for her to go natural whenever she chooses to do so. Good for her.

I’m pretty sure most women cut their hair when they’re good and ready, and not for a branding concept. LOL But hey, it is a new hair cut and a new album. Why not work it in?
