I would say it’s a nice single, but it’s nothing to be like ‘wow’ about.. you’ll get individuals comparing this bitch to rihanna cause its a rejection from her but who actually cares. Rita, needs to sort out what kind of sound she’s going with and she’s had nearly 4 years to develop so it’s fucked me off that she hasn’t thought about it.

When a new artist come out, they have to be generic, to appeal to the wider audience possible. For now she is just Jay-Z new protege, and the comparisons to Rihanna (which are inevitable considering who she is signed to) is raising awareness around her. As time goes by, her brand messages will be more clear. I suspect she will be rock where Rihanna is pop, with that British touch Americans love so much these days. Bit grungy. I do like this song, it’s the first one I’m liking from her. She’s not on my radar really at the moment but I’m curious to see what’s coming next.

Most of ur favs have started out very basic to appeal to a wide crowd, a la Beyonce (DC), Ri Ri, CB, etc etc…as an artist they have to develop…so u have to give Rita some time to establish her artistry and then she’ll be able to develop and deliver a more distinct sound once her team knows what will really work for her, especially here in the “bi-polar US”

I have faith that RocNation knows what they’re doing with Rita…just watch!!

i actually like it the song is ok to listen too. i think what people dont understand is that Rita and Rihanna both use the same songwriters, producers, managers etc. and its not so much of rita not being able to find her stitch its just maybe this being her first album she dont have to much as a sayso as to what goes on her album she just has to shut up, sing the songs and make the money. think about it The-Dream write the same songs for Rita that he would write for Rihanna just like the songs he write for Beyonce he would give to Mariah Carey if they dont work out or vise versa…

I prefer the live version over this like everyone else, and the only thing I like about this album version is the guitars and how the beat drops and comes back every few beats. But besides all that even though everyone up here might be saying oh this sucks or that she sounds like Rihanna. Roc Nation obviously conquered their goal by getting HYPE around Rita because all of you guys came to give it a listen, weather you enjoyed it or not.

The song’s not too bad but I agree with everyone else, there really isn’t too much about her that sticks out. I am curious to hear what the rest of her debut album will sound like. “How We Do (Party)” and “R.I.P.” didn’t really do too much for me either. I like her album cover!

Rhianna can’t sing and has gotten lucky with song selections and is a factory machine like Britney Spears.
