Mateo gets nostalgic and reflects on a love lost with his newest offering, “Looking You Up,” a duet with Stacy Barthe. With lush vocals, he pours his heart out as he sings, “So I’ll just keep searching forever until we’re together, until what’s lost is found.” This smooth, mid-tempo cut, produced by Kerry “Krucial” Brothers and Zeke MacUmber, will no doubt get you thinking about the one that got away.

The Cincinnati native will drop his mixtape Suite 823 on August 1, with his Interscope Records debut to follow.

This is goooood! Just as good as the stuff on Frank Ocean album. Too bad Mateo doesn’t have the hype machine behind him like Frank did.
