Rap-Up.com || Azealia Banks Turns Down Offer to Tour with Nicki Minaj

After making a name for herself with her breakout single “212,” 1991 EP, and Fantasea mixtape, Azealia Banks has gained the attention of fellow femcee Nicki Minaj, who reportedly invited her to join her “Pink Friday” arena tour.

However, the new face of T by Alexander Wang had to regrettably decline the offer as she is still recording her Intercope Records debut Broke with Expensive Taste. “I got invited to tour with Nicki Minaj in Europe but I can’t go because I have to finish my album during that time,” tweeted Banks.

Nicki previously announced that she will be joined by her Young Money labelmate Tyga and British singer Misha B when her tour returns to the U.K. in the fall.

“I can’t wait to blow the stage out bigger and better and crazier,” teased the “Starships” hitmaker. “I promise you this is gonna be one for the books.”

Nicki is scheduled to wrap the North American leg of her “Pink Friday” tour on August 12 in Vancouver.

Azealia has a contractual agreement to finish her album in a certain amount of time…by her touring with Nicki, that would conflict with her schedule…MANY entertainers have to turn down offers b/c of prior engagements…

i’m sure this decisions was made not only by her, but by her mgmt TEAM!!Yes, she would’ve made money on tour and made a bigger name for herself, but she would’ve also had to face losing money, facing other issues, and pushing the album back had it not been finished on time.

Nicki did indeed ask Azealia to tour, and Azealia was VERY keen, but had to turn it down because she’s prepping her album for a sept/oct release.

Nicki didn’t take the rejection well.

Nicki tried to play it like she never asked, but there is PROOF she did (I’ve seen it for myself).

I’m usually a Nicki fan but I’m not impressed with how she’s trying to play Azealia and make her look a certain way. Had I not seen some emails I probably wouldn’t have believed it myself.

Azealia’s team decided FOR her that she couldn’t tour, but Nicki was pissed off because she thought it was a big gesture to ask in the first place.

THIS IS FACT, PEOPLE. I READ THE EMAILS MYSELF!

Hmmmm. I do find it kinda funny how Nicki outta no where wants to bring Banks on tour with her, especially after the so called “situation” between Banks and Kim. Banks talked nothing but SHIT about Nicki in her interviews. so why TF would you invite someone on your tour who talked shit about you? Makes no sense.
Nicki could have asked Iggy(who’s from oversea’s), Lola, or Brianna to come on her tour. But NOPE. What did she do? She invited Azealia who everyone knows has a problem with Lil Kim.
