Chris Brown Denies Homophobic Slur Against Frank Ocean

Chris Brown and Frank Ocean

Chris Brown and Frank Ocean may have gotten off on the wrong foot, however, Breezy is adamantly denying making a homophobic slur against the Odd Future crooner, who announced his sexuality earlier this month.

According to Advocate.com, the “Turn Up the Music” singer was accused of saying “no homo” after he was questioned about Ocean’s sexual orientation on his way out of a nightclub in Cannes, France.

But Brown took to his Twitter account to set the record straight. “My Opinion on the whole Frank Ocean subject is ……… Love who u wanna love. It’s ur decision. People stop searching for BS,” he tweeted. “Everyone is so quick to point the wrong fingers at each other! Ask urself… Am I Doing everything I can to help the world ????”

He showed his support for Ocean, whose debut channel ORANGE was released a week after his album Fortune. “The world is so bent on social acceptance that we’ve forgotten what makes us special… Our individuality! #Imdone #readabookbitch,” he added.

Last year, Chris had a public showdown with the “Thinkin Bout You” singer and his Odd Future groupmate Tyler, the Creator on Twitter, but they quickly put it behind them.

Since revealing his sexuality, Ocean has received an outpouring of support from his peers including Beyoncé, 50 Cent, Solange, and Omarion.

The fact that he’s saying who you love is a “decision” further proves that Chris is as ignorant as he’ll ever be.

@pierre, You are an idiot, and so is Taylor. You know damn well he didn’t mean it that way. He didn’t say sexuality was a decision. He was making a point to say it’s no one else’s decision. Even if he believed that it still wouldn’t matter because he doesn’t care. Take his advice and read a book.

@Taylor, To all the dumba asses who had something to say ABOUT BREEZY–you all sound ignorant. You can’t help who you love, but ultimately it is a decision. You can love someone of the same sex and because of what you believe in(religion, etc.) you could choose not to love them. Breezy is showing that it doesn’t matter who Ocean loves or doesn’t love; it is really not up to him(Breezy). Why is everyone making such a BIG deal. No homo is something people say when they say something that they may feel doesn’t come out right. People say things they don’t mean all the time. I believe that was Chris’ way of saying that he is straight. People are so quick to start BS. If He didn’t say no homo…the media would be saying that he may be confused about his sexuality and has a crush on Ocean. It is what it is. Like Breezy said “readabookbitch(es)!”

I also feel that Chris Brown brought a lot of hate on himself since the Rihanna incident. Chris Brown can never catch a break, but that’s the problem, he is always involved in some type of drama outside of music. Chris Brown needs to stop getting into beefs with fellow music artists on Twitter and in the club, regardless of who starts all these fights. Chris Brown needs to do a better job in controlling his emotions.

It just shows that you’re desperately holding on to whatever reason you have not to support it. It’s is not a circle of going against the stream. It’s about getting to a place of tolerance and love. Chris has been OPENLY dissing them for the past week, and they sit there and take his shit just because he is “Chris Brown”… they see his ignorance and ignore. I understand if y’all love his music, but that doesn’t mean y’all have to kiss his ass. Yes, he acts as if he is a homophobe at times. He needs to humble himself like he was when he first came into the industry. He let the fame get to his head too much. TB see’s that, but just want to admit it. Trust me, I once loved his music and was down with the movement for years, so I KNOW. But then I started fucking with Frank Ocean & other artist such as Kevin Cossom. I noticed Chris’ music is still for the young & isn’t all that after all. Anyways, my point is, Chris needs to cut the ignorance, BE HAPPY with the fans he has. First male attention whore. I personally think Chris Brown is a talented young man who fame and the transition into manhood has confused and overwhelmed him. He started on the scene somewhat fresh, described as an Usher substitute on the first album and a full-fledged superstar on par with Rihanna, Justin Timberlake, etc. by his second album, and I swear he just SAID FUCK SUCCESS and got into media controversy and controversy. Chris has made a comeback of sorts from the flop [sales wise of Grafitti] but he doesn’t have nearly the same momentum, and this last album was derivitive, as the critics stated, he needs to get back to headlining music, not news controversy.

*No Homo has always been considered offensive to intellectuals both gay and straight…e.g. what if a non-black person said something they perceived as either black or ghetto and said No Black!! Not many black people would find that amusing. Besides that no offense to straight men, but most of the time when it’s used it’s done stupidly
e.g. I love you [best friend, brother, dad, etc.], No Homo.
I like that shirt man, No Homo
It always sounds dumb, and half the time makes me suspect you in that closet lol.

Forget the argument that homosexuality is a sin. If anything, it’s illogical. Two cookies for anyone who can answer these questions: If homosexuality is “natural”, then why are there male and female roles within homosexual relationships? If you aren’t born with physical attractions to mixed women, or buff men, but these attractions are learned and chosen through cultural and life experiences, then how can you be born with attractions to those of the same sex? If sexuality isn’t a choice, how can “undercover homos” choose to be heterosexual for so long? I have more, but I’ll stop here.
