Talib Kweli, Kendrick Lamar, and Curren$y put on for their cities in the video for “Push Thru.” Talib reps Brooklyn, Spitta heads to his hometown of New Orleans, and Kendrick takes us out West. The soulful track, produced by Symbolyc One (Beyoncé, Kanye West), will appear on Talib’s upcoming album Prisoner of Conscious, due in October on Blacksmith/EMI.
Can’t believe I’m the first to comment…you’ll talk all day about Keri Hilson’s NSFW pic, Chris Brown’s 30 millionth mixtape song, Tyga’s MIXTAPE SINGLE (that makes NO sense) and his fake face tattoo. However, when REAL HIP-HOP like this surfaces, you say NOTHING.
I will say this-Talib Kweli, Curren$y, and Kendrick Lamar, are emcees in a sea of rappers, and emcees the game needs FAR MORE of.
