Lupe Fiasco is bound to stir up more controversy with his next single. The Chicago MC has unveiled the black-and-white artwork for “Lamborghini Angels.” The follow-up to the Pete Rock and CL Smooth-sampled “Around My Way (Freedom Ain’t Free)” and “Bitch Bad” will be available August 14 on iTunes. It contains brash lyrics that may offend some people.
“Warning: if you are easily offended or religiously sensitive DO NOT listen to Lamborghini Angels. Contains very disturbing content,” tweeted Lupe. “Listener discretion is thoroughly advised.”
The song will appear on his fourth album Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album Pt. 1, due September 25.

@Jake, how is it non-offensive to tell someone that they are going to hell? You want that to be someone’s reason to believe? To save their ass from hell? Some Christians are the first to point out other people’s flaws and throw around the word hell like it’s nothing, but forget that a good percentage of the world does not share the same beliefs that they do. You telling me that I will go to hell is not going to make me feel any better about your religion. Don’t tell other people that they are going to hell. That is offensive and disrespectful. You are free to believe in what you want to believe, if you can even consider it a choice. I will not tell you you are a bad person because of your religion, so don’t tell me I am because of what I believe in.

Now that’s a great view to have. If it isn’t Your religion it’s crazy and blasphemous. “Just don’t talk about my Jesus Christ” I can’t believe how people think sometimes. I’m a proud Christian, but I know that there are many cultures that share different beliefs. I don’t agree with them, but I’d never say something like the quote from BRS because he has a right to say whatever he wants. No one is making you listen to it. In fact he even gave you a warning. Something no else does before releasing controversial material. Instead of shying away you’ll be the first to listen to it even after the warning just to hate. Why waste your time commenting if you all can’t stand him so much. I just stay away from stuff I don’t like. I realize everything I wrote is too complicated to understand and that the only take away will probably be I’m against the nature of the comments so I’m automatically against you personally or your religion because we’re that sensitive these days. Hopefully one person can get a nice takeaway

Funny how people will get up in arms about supposed attacks on their religion but don’t do anything about real attacks on the poor, weak, & sick. You know things Christ actually said his followers should be concerned about.

@…, Well, let’s see. I’m a Christian. I don’t beat around the bushes, nor do I flip-flop or deny God. in front of ANYONE’s presence. I’ve done volunteer work in New Orleans after Katrina, in the Philippines and in Ecuador. I’m a candy striper at my local hospital. I visit nursing homes and read scriptures to the elderly, take them flowers and help them in any way that I possibly can. I don’t do it for the “publicity” or the “community service.” I do it because I have compassion for my fellow man and considering Jesus Christ died for MY sins, I shouldn’t be above helping those less fortunate than me. More than anything, I have a conscience and I treat others as I’d like to be treated. Yes, that’s “funny” indeed.

@Heather, I’m glad you are helping others. So clearly I wasn’t taking about you so why are you getting offended? I think this is Lupe’s whole point. People jump and get upset about the wrong things. While most of the people of this post are angry over a song they haven’t even heard yet they wouldn’t even click an article about impoverished kids dying all around the world or how a lot people in America are struggling to survive. But they comment on a hip hop blog site that promote rappers who make songs about selling drugs, sleeping with multiple women, and calling themselves a “stupid hoe” and a “cunt”. How godly is that?

And how is one song going to start a holy war? Go watch the news. Ever heard of Palestine, Iraq, or Sudan? Real religious wars are taking place right now and they weren’t started because of music…

A lot of Christians are so insecure about their own faith and belief system they assume a song about religion has to be an attack on Christianity when he just said it was about religion. There is more than one religion in the world. So I wonder if the song was only about Islam, Judiasm, or Hinduism would all these Christians still be upset?

@?, and a alot of Muslims are so insecure about their faith that they riot over a movie, attempt to ban call of duty black ops 2 because of some bathroom picture, demand honor killings of infidels, aggressively pressure south park, and fight over the slightest “blasphemy” against Mohammad, honestly Mohammad isn’t The Son of God so why is it wrong to draw his picture? Isn’t that shirk for it implies that Mohammad is Allah. If drawing Mohammad’s picture idolatry why must Muslims bow down to a rock?

Lupe Fiasco is a great music artist, a great rapper, and a great songwriter. Lupe Fiasco has always been one of the greatest, most underrated rappers in hip hop and the whole entire music industry. I am an unbiased christian, I believe Lupe Fiasco has earned the right due to his success in the United States of America to express his political views and religious beliefs, but that doesn’t always mean that I will agree with Lupe Fiasco on his political views and religious beliefs.
People need to remember that The United States of America allows people to have freedom of speech. Lupe Fiasco admitted a very, long time ago that he is a Muslim. Muslims and Christians don’t always see eye to eye and agree on everything. It wouldn’t surprise me if Lupe Fiasco doesn’t believe that there is a God, or Jesus Christ. There are tons of people in the music industry who probably don’t believe in Jesus Christ. There are also tons of people in the music industry who believe there is a God, even if they are not Christian.
We have Christians every single day who respects Christianity, but we also have Christians who don’t respect Christianity. There are some Christians who committ adultry, committ crimes, some male Christians be having sex with other men. Some male christians cheat on their wives and sleep with other women. Some female christians be having lesbian relationships with other women. Some female christians cheat on their husbands and sleep with other men. It is more than a religion problem, it has been a social problem since America was first built.
There are some people in the world who want to blame rappers for how bad the world is. I remember Nicki Minaj received a lot of criticism for her performance at the 2012 Grammy Awards for mocking religion. Even though I felt Nicki Minaj was wrong for performing that offensive message, Nicki Minaj has the right to express her political views and religious beliefs. I am not a hardcore fan of Nicki Minaj, if you don’t like Nicki Minaj’s music, don’t buy it. If you don’t like the fact that Jay-Z call himself Hova, then don’t buy his music. People who listen to music have the power to boycott music and not give money to record labels and label music artists, people have the power to not go to concerts to support music artists, but even if we boycott music, that still won’t change all of society problems.
When 2Pac was still alive, he painted himself as Jesus Christ on the album cover of Makaveli: Don Killuminati. It doesn’t get anymore offensive than that, but that didn’t stop people including Christians from buying 2Pac’s albums. Nas portrayed himself as Jesus Christ in Hate Me Now Video, it doesn’t get anymore offensive than that, but people including Christians still buy Nas’ albums. Kanye West portrayed himself as Jesus Christ on Rolling Stones Magazine Cover, it doesn’t get anymore offensive than that, but people still buy Kanye West’s albums including myself. People including Christians like myself need to look themselves in the mirror and ask themselves what are we doing to make the world a better place.

Had you been born in a Middle-Eastern country, you probably would have believed in Allah, instead of God. This is why I don’t believe in God the way most people do. It’s all about in what kind of environment you were born. There are hundreds upon hundreds of religions in this world and they all are so convinced to believe in the right one. By no means am I an Atheist, but a religion that is all written out with rules and regulations is not what I believe in, for several reasons.

If God dosen’t exist believe me i won’t be here. All i can say is there is so much to enjoy in christ jesus! It pains me that most american christians have very weak foundation in God, that’s why they are easily convienced that God dosen’t exists. Once you have faith in God and love him, he will show you his power. The bible said ”everything worketh out for good unto those that love God”. My fellow american christians come closer to God so that you can go about telling everyone that God is alive with evidence

i dont see what the big argument is about. i not once heard him mention his religion or down another. this is all YOUR interpretation. none of you have any real clue of what he’s saying because there is no way for you to enter his mind, and figure out what each line meant. what he is saying is that the music that most of us are following now is demonic, which is true. we just choose to ignore the signs that are right in front of our faces because conspiracy theorists have made up so much shit you dont know what to believe. dont be fooled.
