« Kanye West and Kim Kardashian Star in VMA Promo [Video]Eminem and Pink Reunite for ‘Alternative Club Banger’ »Jay-Z and Kanye West Celebrate ‘Watch the Throne’ Anniversary with Documentary![]() It’s been one year since Jay-Z and Kanye West made history with their collaborative album Watch the Throne. Now the hip-hop kings take us behind the scenes of the recording process with their intimate documentary. There are rare moments captured on camera including when ‘Ye presents his big bro Jay with a ring that he bought at a vintage store in Paris. Oscar winner Russell Crowe appears in the hotel while Kanye raps his verse from “Illest Motherf**ker Alive.” Even Beyoncé makes a cameo. A proud Jay-Z reflected on Kanye’s rise to becoming one of hip-hop’s greatest. “I’m watching a guy who I pretty much mentored become his own guy with his own opinion. It’s fantastic,” he said. Bow in the presence of greatness.

Its so amazing to see the comming of a masterpiece. To be able to grow not only as a person but as an artist that pushes the bariiors and takes risk, that’s truly an artist that’s living the their dream. Much love to Jay Z, Kanye West and Beyonce. You guys are truly an inspiration. – Rae

Yeah, um, for some reason I don’t like this quote, sounds a bit egotistical on Jay’s part, as if he’s some puppet master pulling Ye’s strings and now Kanye can speak for himself. He wasn’t exactly a teenager when Jay signed him to the Roc, he was a grown ass man. Not hating b/c I love Jay’s contributions, but he gotta stop giving himself too much credit.

The video doesn’t exist but there’s a site where you can watch it.
Can’t believe it’s been a year already. I remember watching this documentary and listening to the album for the first time. I love watching these two make music. Very talented.
