Meek Mill Donates $20,000 for Injured Bike Rider’s Surgery

Meek Mill

In his latest vlog, Meek Mill takes us from city to city as he headlines his “Dreamchasers” tour. The avid bike rider donates $20,000 to help an injured rider pay for his $40,000 stem cell surgery.

“I was surprised nobody else ain’t helping with it,” said the Maybach Music MC, who is also trying to help him raise the remaining $20,000. “That’s what we do at Dreamchasers. When we see somebody working or whatever they trying to do, we help them out.”

Meek, whose debut Dreams & Nightmares drops October 30, also shows off some tricks as he rides with Bow Wow, DJ Drama, and the rest of his crew. Don’t miss the fruit tray challenge.

Definitely a nice act from Robert Williams. Wish that this would override the outrage that people had with his Amen track

@mandela, People are outraged by that song?? Lol. Gee, there’s a lot of worse things coming from the actual pulpits of many churches.

Why not just donate it himself. He’s rich and spends most of it on strippers anyways.

He should feel ashamed for not paying it all. Do you know how much money these people make? Please, don’t act naive when this kind of actions takes place. I know that the fact itself of putting some help is great, whatever that is and no matter how much, but for a man in his position it is not enough.

@Don’t Be Blind, where is your donation at ?

@Don’t Be Blind, he has no moral obligation to pay for another man’s funding. being rich does not make you 100% responsible for other people’s lives and accountability. the man reachd out to lend a hand to a man in need to whom he had no legal obligations or responsibility. and STILL you have the nerve to find wrong in what he did. the ignorance and false entitlement in your tone is horrifying.

    Don't Be Blind Reply:

@ewioj, And that’s why I said that the fact itself was great, but paying for it all is something within his possibilities, so the moment he decides to take part in this I expect him not to come halfway. Giving that amount of money doesn’t alter his lifestyle at all.

Anyway, I’m sorry we can’t agree.

@Don’t Be Blind, he doesn’t even have an album out yet, so he’s not as rich as you think. plus, who says that he even has to donate. he’s doing it out of the goodness of his heart and you’re still hating.

    Don't Be Blind Reply:

@poop, Again, I’m not ‘hating’, as you like to put it, because of him donating ‘any’ money, it’s just because of the fact that he doesn’t do something that is within his reach and yet media and some people make it look like it was some miracle and he’s some kind of angel. That money means nothing to him. If anything, it is and investment in positive public opinion.

I doubt he is super rich when his debut is still about to drop so don’t complain he didn’t donate the whole thing. It’s still great that he did donate half of it. God bless him and the rider too.

Much respect to meek for looking out like that. I see a lot of negative comments about why he didnt just pay the whole thing. To be honest with you he didn’t even have to give what he did. You think that’s the only charitable thing he has done? If he plays Santa clause where do you think meek will end up ? Under a bridge cause he gave all his money away. And would any of you stating negative comments would let meek stay at your home for shelter ? No I didnt think so. One man can’t change the world , but can inspire others. Good looking meek I dont know the Kidd or you but respect what’s real!! MMG

I think it’s very generous of him as many celebs turn a blind eye to things like this. However, that said … the comments are true — he could’ve paid all of it. Yes, these entertainers do what their jobs entail, but the amount of money they make is ridiculous in comparison with our REAL heroes — firefighters, attorneys, doctors, etc.

m@Morgan, They aren’t overpaid their talent is rare, same with athletes. If we paid people based on how important their job is then garbage men would be up there somewhere

@jeff, You have got to be kidding me. ‘Spitting’ clever lines over a ‘hot’ beat should and being crafty with in a respective line of sports does not mean a person should make astronomical amounts of money versus people whose daily contributions educate, enlighten and help communities to flourish. Society is truly screwed and has been for a long time.

Somewhat genuine. I still question any celebrity who feels the need to broadcast doing a good deed.

    [Reply]

    Vance Reply:

@Raymond, Exactly. J. Cole took a bunch of disadvantaged kids to Carowinds and didn’t run to the media with it.

    [Reply]

    mrsotw Reply:

@Vance, i agree somewhat, Meek should not have announced that, but I also can see how being famous puts you on the radar, the spotlight, so its kind of hard for their charitable efforts to go un-seen or un announced in some way, for instance, how did you know about Cole taking the kids to Carowinds? exactly. They (Celebrities) are not like you and I

    [Reply]

    Vance Reply:

@mrsotw, Ok. Perhaps I should’ve been clearer. He only ‘announced’ it in the last song he released. That’s nowhere near as drastic as waving your hands in the air immediately after, waiting for the media to tell of your latest good Samaritan deed.
