Nas Reigns at Rock the Bells![]() “Let’s go through some of these journeys. Walk with me,” Nas said while performing “Daughters” at Rock the Bells in San Bernardino, Calif., on Sunday. The hip-hop icon closed out the two-day festival with an hour-long set that included material from his 18-year career. Dressed in all white, God’s Son opened with “No Introduction” off his latest album Life Is Good, performing old (“Street Dreams”) and new (“The Don”) material with a full band. “It’s good to be here, Rock the Bells 2012. Hip-hop music at its finest,” said Nas, who caught the “hip-hop holy ghost” when he brought Large Professor to the stage for “Loco-Motive.” “God bless every rapper that touched the stage tonight.” As a partner in the festival, Nas tried to get Kanye West on this year’s bill, but it didn’t work out. “The Kanye thing was up in the air for a minute,” he told Rolling Stone. “I really wanted that to happen. But like so much going on, if it doesn’t happen this year, it’ll happen another time. Kanye’s the type of artist that belongs on Rock the Bells.” Watch Nas’ full Rock the Bells set below.

Are you crazy? Nas is the greatest alive. The best to do it!!! You are young! You don’t know anything about rap music and its history. You are just another blogger that writes before he or she thinks!
Even Tupac said Nas is one of the greatest… Nas, all day baby boy!

Young Pereezy YMCMB-MMG! Let us have an intelligent conversation, please. Can we??? What are record sales? Your argument is so LAME!!! Dude, record sales has nothing to do with talent. What catalog of hip hoppers like you and I will be playing years from now? How many new rappers have come and gone and put up big record sales but no classics? Answer, please! Dude, I rather have longevity in the game than selling a bunch of records and don’t last long. Longevity, is the key. Hip hop that brings nothing but street won’t work anymore. It has to have substance. Politically and socially! Dude, if you listen to this garbage out here now, those fools would be in jail by now. Those guys are not doing that stuff. They put that stuff in your ears. Wake up!!! Nas raps are lyrical master pieces. That dude, come hard in his work! You feel me! In his work! Nas music is being studied in colleges. How in the world can you top that??? Nas never was a big record selling dude! Never, but Nas was in the game for over 20 years. Over 20 years!!! I have totally respect for his work and talent. My dude you should to because without Nas there would not be any of your today’s favorite rapper rappers!!!
