While Willow Smith is writing letters to Tupac, her older brother Jaden continues pursuing his rap career. On his latest release, the 14-year-old actor rhymes about being the “reincarnation of Shakespeare,” jet-setting around the globe, and staying fly. “I’m right at the top and I’m planning to stay here,” boasts Jaden, who will release his cooltape in September.

Indeed. But that’s the world in which you live. It’s not about the greatness of it. It’s the impact. Impact is not always positive. I never said it was amazing. By definition, a “world” contains both bad and good aspects. Unless it’s a utopia. God knows it’s not.

“Shakespeare ain’t sh*t”, that’s your opinion. There are plays I love, there are some I don’t like at all, but there is no denying the legacy and the influence.

Nope. Try again. There’s only one world and no one refers to it as the “Anglo-Saxon” world – just you and several other questionable people. I live a world where I see promise and potential, where many people have fought for rights of the others and have sacrificed their lives for the greater good. The REAL world. The only world. Let’s talk about “Peace” now, shall we?

Taking on some frivolous position to describe the shaping of the world through the overrated work of Shakespeare, is just as foolish as it sounds.

So to wrap this little discussion up, Jaden Smith’s song has absolutely nothing to do with Shakespeare’s “legacy” or the “Anglo-Saxon” world, for that matter. All that Shakespeare contributed was fiction, nowhere near the truth of the REAL world.

Take a lesson and may you find true peace.

1) The Anglo-Saxon world is not the real world, indeed. I don’t talk about the real world, I talk about the cultural world. Art, language, traditions, etc. This is ridiculous. Don’t be naive; If you want to turn this discussion into a boxing fight or some debate in which your main goal is to put me down, at least make relevant points. And how frivolous is talking about language or art when you talk about CULTURE ? Smarten up.

2) Oh, was I the one comparing Shakespeare & Smith ? “Let’s just leave Shakespeare … out of this shall we ?” If you think all Shakespeare contributed to is fiction, then I think you don’t know much about the civilized world plain and simple. Denying Shakespeare’s global impact on Anglo-Saxon culture is incredibly foolish. And I’m not even from an English-speaking country.

This makes perfect sense now. How could you properly rationalize thoughts and ideas in English if the language you’re using is not the language of your native country? In addition, you’re attempting to debate about the concept an American musician’s song. Why bother if you’re not from America? That is socially destructive. Because of this, I have developed some sympathy for you and your unfulfilling argument.

BTW, “Global impact” is hilarious. Please, spare me the hysterics. LOL.

Oh man, you answered ? Haha alright. This will be my last message. You quoted Shakespeare, I don’t think it produced the effect you were expecting. But that’s alright, any quote will make a message seem more articulate to most people. I see what you did here.

I was really silly debating this way with you. This is your opinion, I respect it. This isn’t mine, though, and your arguments were not enough to make me change my mind.

How can I “properly rationalize” it ? This kind of questioning is insulting, but I’ll try to answer properly. I can do so because I have expertise, thanks to studies and experience. I won’t say more, I don’t think you are interested. Do you think I would discuss it without knowing what I’m talking about ? Come on. I don’t discuss to fight, only to exchange ideas. And I got a glimpse of yours. And that’s cool.

“Why bother” ?… I’d rather say “Why not ?” Ha. I’m curious and passionate about that, that’s all.
