« New Music: T-Pain – ‘Don’t You Quit’Exclusive: T.I. Talks ‘Trouble Man’ Delay, Lil Wayne and R. Kelly Collaborations »Album Cover: Lupe Fiasco – ‘Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album Pt. 1’![]() Lupe Fiasco fades to black with the simple, yet striking cover art for Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album Pt. 1. Due September 25, the highly-anticipated sequel to his 2006 album features the singles “Around My Way (Freedom Ain’t Free),” “Bitch Bad,” and “Lamborghini Angels.” The Chicago MC made the controversial record without any outside pressure. “It’s the Lupe Fiasco that I want to be without the industry constraints, without trying to please the hardcore fans or the new fans,” he told Fuse. “It’s just me, what I would do for myself, if nobody ever heard it. This is the kind of music that I would make. It’s a masterpiece. It’s real good. It’s real fu**ing good.” Check out two promotional photos of Lupe below the cut.

I won’t be complaining. It’s the music that will speak for itself. Although, I wonder what the cover art for Pt. 2 would look like.

@Alejandro, Yeah, you actually have to get noticed to be an attention whore. No one is checking for Lupe, at all.

@wqe, Could you be more reasonable or provide examples on “behavioral traits”? What is actually considered behavioural? It’s not wrong to promote his work. Heck, he hasn’t been dissing anybody or putting himself above everybody. Get lost.

I think he’s making the statement that it’s all about the music. He’s not trying to sell an image, or a lifestyle, he’s just trying to share his music

I think Lupe Fiasco is leading the new generation when it comes to putting out positive messages in his music. I am looking forward to Lupe Fiasco’s Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album Part 1. I am going to buy Lupe Fiasco’s Food & Liquor II: The Great Amercian Rap Album Part 1 as soon as possible. Hip Hop needs more rappers like Lupe Fiasco and Nas who puts out real good music.
