Video: Fat Joe f/ Kanye West, Miguel, Jadakiss, DJ Khaled, Roscoe Dash, Busta Rhymes, & Ashanti – ‘Pride N Joy’

Hip-hop hooray. Fat Joe brings together his peers in the star-studded video for “Pride N Joy” featuring Kanye West, Miguel, Jadakiss, DJ Khaled, Roscoe Dash, and Busta Rhymes. Joey Crack shot the video in Brooklyn with famed director Hype Williams. Each of his co-stars came through the studio to film their scenes including his “What’s Luv?” collaborator Ashanti. And it wouldn’t be a Hype video without some voluptuous video vixens.

“I think hip-hop needs to see unity,” said Joe. “This whole song been about unity, bring back that De La Soul, that Tribe [Called Quest].”

It’s nice that Fat Joe has had some longevity in his career but this effort will go awry. It will barely chart despite the amount of features. Nice try Joey Crack. @mutumboh

Ashanti is the last cross over R&b artist that rnb had to this date …she use to be the # one black chick untill bey…she had it from like 00-05 give her her props, and how is this career suicide you sound dumb and young…these are all talented artist doing what they love…theirs always unity in the music white scene’s but people like you make it hard for unity in the black music scene!….grow up!…..i repsect each artist for their music and their talent and its nice to see that All these artist gave support!! @Nick, What are you talking about dude?? No shade to either Fat Joe or Ashanti, but they are in no way shape or form LEGENDS. Michael Jackson, Madonna, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston.. Those are LEGENDS. That’s a term reserved for only a few and trust me, Fat Joe or Ashanti don’t fit the description.

He’s one o the most successful Rican rappers out there!!! Him and ashanti may have fell off but they both made big marks in the music industry, Ashanti breaking records, holding top spots in billboard 100, selling how she did, etc, and fat joe just doing it big….I know the legends your talking about but for the younger generation ( my generation (16) our legends are Ashanti Beyonce Rihanna Akeys, mjb, mc, Chris brown, fat joe, nelly, j z, naz, dmx, lil Kim, missy, kanye, lil Wayne busta rhymes Janet Jackson, brandy, Monica etc those are the legends to the younger crowed they did numbers been here for a while and all made marks!!! @MinajRules2012, The last time I checked, Kanye West hasn’t committed career suicide by working with B list superstars. Kanye West is coming off MBDTF which received universal critical acclaim, and Watch The Throne which went platinum, plus Kanye West has won 18 Grammy Awards, so Kanye West doesn’t have to prove himself anymore. It’s easy for you and everybody else to say Fat Joe, Busta Rhymes, Jadakiss, and Ashanti fell off because they are not selling platinum records and gold records like they use to, and their songs don’t get radio airplay nowadays, but Fat Joe, Busta Rhymes, Jadakiss, and Ashanti are still better music artists than half of the new rappers and singers in today’s music industry.
