Rap-Up.com || Frank Ocean to Kick Off New Season of ‘SNL’

Live from New York, it’s Frank Ocean. The Odd Future crooner will make his “Saturday Night Live” debut next month.

Ocean has been booked as the musical guest for the 38th season opener, airing September 15 at 11:30 p.m. on NBC. He will perform material off his critically-acclaimed debut channel ORANGE alongside host Seth MacFarlane (“Family Guy”).

Prior to “SNL,” the New Orleans native will also take the stage at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards on September 6, where he is nominated for three awards including Best New Artist and Best Male Artist.

Earlier this month, he pulled out of his European festival dates and opening slot on Coldplay’s tour.

Adele is a great artist, the fact that she is pretty much the ONLY one selling albums, that only says a lot about the general public. Frank will be huge once more of the indie crowd catches on. His sound is a little r&b, a little hip hop, and a little indie, so he is pretty much GOLD.

I listen to,his album in full everyday. I’m fact he is the only artist whose album I have in full on my iPhone. His music is really influencinglng….in good and bad ways. For instance, he made references about having unprotected sex in like 4 songs on the album and all of the sudden I find myself being risky. Lol
