Frank Ocean Performs ‘Thinkin Bout You’ at MTV VMAs![]() All eyes were on Frank Ocean, who made his first awards show performance at Thursday’s MTV VMAs. The Best New Artist nominee performed a stripped-down version of his single “Thinkin Bout You” amidst a fiery and woodsy set. His performance earned praise from Lady Gaga. “watch frank ocean steal this whole show. I’m dead,” she tweeted, while Kreayshawn was brought to tears. “Just cried via @frank_ocean performance!” she wrote. His Odd Future bandmate Tyler, the Creator provided some constructive criticism. “OFF TOP YOU DIDNT NEED ALL THAT EARTH WIND N FIRE AVATAR SHIT YOU HAD BEHIND YOU NIGGA, GOOD SHIT AYYYE!”

@Hype, You must be deaf if you think Bridgett Kelly’s was better. and regardless she wouldn’t have the song if he didn’t write the song.

Frank dosen’t sound that good live, I’ve seen him live twice and each time fails me… I also feel that because franks gay people are afraid to give real reviews, that performance wasnt that great….

September 7th, 2012 at 1:27 pm
Yeah i seen him live too, and he doent hit crazy high notes but he sounded real good and hit just the right notes. And his tone sounded real distinct that night. But at this VMA performance he sounded kind of off to be honest

But every singer has a bad night, plus people forget he is just coming back from pulling outta the coldplay tour due to vocal problems so possible this is his first show back and his voice is still picking up

Wow this is passing as singing, no terrific singing things days.
Set was nice and romantic, set a pretty good tone.
Lyrics nice and set a good tone
Vocals was awful but people are acting like it’s good. Nasal, monotone, forced falsetto. We are in a tone def society. This guy is acting like a singer.

I’m right with Lady Gaga and Kreayshawn, this performance was riveting. It was simple, artistic and pure talent. I was also so happy to hear that he got a lot of praise from critics and fellow artists alike. This provided me and my Dish coworkers plenty to talk about on Friday at work. Luckily I recorded it on my Hopper, which I love because when I play back I’m able to start watching on my living room TV and continue watching on any TV in my house right where I left off. It’s really convenient that I can move from room to room to watch.

Dear Voshice Thomas Woah nellie. You seem to be havnig a little problem with your caps lock! You also seem to be a loud, whiny jerk who doesn’t know shit from shinola. Here are a few things to help you out:1.) Steve Poltz doesn’t have anything to do with Corky Pest Control Commercials.2.) Even if he DID, he has no control over the radios and televisions that might air them (much to our detriment).3.) If you’re tired of hearing the commercials you could a.) turn off the radio or television b.) call the radio station or television station and complain (in your totally polite manner) to the station manager c.) or you could take the little cap lock key on your computer keyboard and cram it in your ear.Best wishes!!
