@toscaredtopostmyname, This is horrible, this will for sure be one of the biggest flops of 2012. She needs to just do hooks on other people’s tracks like M.I.A. They both are horrible.

@MinajRules2012, Sorry but Nelly was here way before MIA and her music sounded like this also. It flopped because Interscope didn’t promote the album.

Some of these songs sound HOT AS HELL. I was a little skeptical at first because I do not like “The Spirit Indestrubtible” or the “High Life” but it got better in the middle of the album. I WILL BE BUYING THIS!!! This album is getting NO HYPE whatsoever.

I’m absolutely in love with this album and not by the fact that I’m fan of Nelly Furtado, but it’s because sounds amazing. Since Mi Plan it’s her best album!!!!

@nawidntthinkso, What in the hell is wrong with you? There’s nothing about these songs that scream “gay ass shit.” Just because the music is not in your taste doesn’t give you the right to make such ridiculous, demeaning comments.

@nawidntthinkso, Explain how you relate music you don’t particularly care for with being “gay.”

@nawidntthinkso, you’ve obviously been brought up in a world where people have a team to create the album for them and you dial-a-rapper to get their feature on the album. From an artist’s point of view this album is Nelly Furtado 2012 period. From a commercial POV? Prob a flop. But seriously ignorant for calling music you don’t like gay. That’s just dumb!

“Circles” & “Hold Up” sound really good! So many people hate “Spirit Indestructible,” but as an American Indian it resonates with me and I think it’s a great way to start the album. Can’t wait for the release!

So, because she’s not singing about her pussy, big dicks or shaking ass, it’s “wack.” SMH.

However, “loose” is still my fav album.

Not a single hit on here. I’m sorry I’m a huge Nelly fan but basically she got complacent because “Loose” was such a hit. Hence she thought she’d pick a producer in his sub-prime (Darkchild) and she’s whacked out a nasal vocal tone over the whole project with a whole host of tracks that are stuck in a time warp. They sound exactly like someone in 2012 trying to make a 90′s album to push the boundries of music. There ain’t a single hit record on this album. its about 8 years too late and music has moved on. A shame really because Nelly is talented but everything on this album from the tacky production to the nasal vocals is wrong. As a fan I love “Big Hoops” and the title track. But this is gonna be another cardboard certified album. Lucky if it sells more than 50k first week.

im a fan of her previous work but this sounds below average .. cant pin point what it is but on some tracks her voice kinda grates on your earlobes and not in a pretty way . not feeling this album via the snippets so far

Props to Nelly Furtado for taking pop to a different territory, but I’m afraid this record is going to flop as bad as Christina Aguilera’s Bionic.

@Looney, yeah it probably will flop. It’s all good though, if it’s just about the music. She’s my fav singer because she tries new things, and sometimes people don’t catch on.

I’m not sure why she thought it was a good idea to wait this damn long to release the follow-up to the biggest album of her career! 6 years in between albums in the MUSIC INDUSTRY is like two career lifespans lol. You have to keep people’s attention. You can’t be going out during your prime and then just expect to walk back in unfortunately. You gotta deliver while you’re on fire.

@Tbozfan10, She released a Latin Grammy winning album, she killed it in Spanish – she wasn’t absent for sAmerica, that’s why I guess that now she is coming back , most of her strong fan bases are form here, and most fan bases from elsewhere are more diluted

You can’t just listen to snippets of songs and make a decision. Put it in your CD player/I-tunes music library and listen to it for a week or so. It’ll probably grow on everyone. GO Nelly for taking risks and doing what YOU like to do!
