Rap-Up.com || Rita Ora Returns to Kosovo to Shoot ‘Shine Ya Light’ Video

Rita Ora made a triumphant return to her hometown of Pristina, Kosovo, to shoot the video for “Shine Ya Light,” the empowering single off her Roc Nation debut ORA. The blonde bombshell was overcome with emotion while looking out at the sea of fans who gathered to cheer her along. At one point, she was seen wiping away tears.

“I can’t explain to you what this means,” said Rita, who also spoke in her native tongue. “This is the only place I wanted to shoot my video.”

She performed a traditional Albanian dance while standing on top of the Newborn monument and filmed scenes on the back of a motorcycle.

Rita moved from Kosovo to London at the age of one. “I’m proud to kind of put it on the map,” the small town girl previously told Rap-Up TV. “We are a very patriotic country, so we always try to mention us wherever we can because it’s such a great place.”

I know that Rihanna and Rita are two completely different people, who make two very different styles of music…but, the resemblence is a little uncanny.

Whenever Jay-Z signs an artist thats a girl they have to be BAD. Hope Rita Ora has some longevity, she has the potential to be a big artist once she finds her lane.

@vladica07 whatever group of people that occupies certain land belongs to the people who occupy that land. Yeah Kosova was part of Yugoslavia and Serbia and serbia had control over kosova but it always remained Albanian no matter what. It may not be an official country but we are independent. Kosova was and always will be Albanian whether you like it or not. The majority of Kosova is Albanian. And it pissese off when I hear serbs say “Kosovo is the heart of Serbia” because that is complete bullshit. Serbia just wants more land.
