Rap-Up.com || JoJo Performs ‘Demonstrate’ Front Row at Fashion Week

JoJo showcased her new single “Demonstrate” live for the first time during Fashion Week at the Metropolitan Pavillion in New York on Tuesday. Strutting down the runway in a short black dress and stilettos, the 21-year-old singer set the sexy mood before the Front Row fashion show at STYLE360.

Bridget Kelly praised her performance. “My boo @jojoistheway tearin it up for Front Row’s fashion show,” tweeted the Roc Nation songstress.

Just last month, JoJo shot a video for the Noah “40” Shebib-produced song in Beverly Hills. Go behind the scenes with Rap-Up TV.

In a sense you’re right because everyone has their own unique sound, but have you never heard of Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Beyonce, Christina Aquilera, Keyshia Cole, Tiffany Evans, Monica, Deborah Cox, Jennifer Hudson, Jazmine Sullivan, Fantasia, Alicia Keys, etc. ? This performance wowed me, but I will not lose all sense of reality. Thumbs up Jojo.

@Cherryfalls, you must not be a singer or know much about vocals. Mariah Carey was AMAZING…her voice currently is nowhere where it was. Whitney Houston (RIP) – voice was shot. Beyonce is amazing but older than JoJo (not in the same generation). Xtina – growls way too much for me. Keyshia Cole (have you ever heard her sing live..lol?), Tiffany Evans (dope as hell…not as good as JoJo). Monica (Dope as hell….doesn’t have JoJo’s range). Deborah Cox (amazing but older). Jennifer Hudson (amazing but too “shouty” for my taste). Jazmine Sullivan & Fantasia (INCREDIBLE…I’ll give you those but still older than JoJo). Alicia Keys (she is off-key all the time).

@Bri, You don’t know who I am or what I know. Why are you making a case for age? News flash: There is not a lot of singers out there around her age except Tiffany Evans, Rihanna (who is older), Jordin Sparks, Demi Lovato, and Taylor Swift. So who are these singers that are scared of her blowing up? That’s the difference b/w stans and fans. Fans are honest supporters and stans overhypes the artist and holds them to unattainable standards.

@Bri, Lastly, everyone I mentioned is just as good if not better than her vocally. You can’t use that excuse about Mariah because one day when Jojo is in 40s her voice won’t be the same either, but Mariah at 21 was a vocal beast and was far better than most singers, Jojo included. I think Tiffany Evans has got her vocally and she can actually dance, but Jojo writes better music. You clearly haven’t grown up listening to Monica, so that’s okay. It shouldn’t matter how old she is because last I checked she was a grown woman. Jojo is great, but don’t make it sound like she’s the best singer in the world. I just appreciate what she does and brings to the table.

BTW, there are plenty of 40 year olds who don’t drink like a fish or smoke who can still sing their ass off. Don’t feel sorry or give props to folks who ruined their own voice. NEXT. She looks amazing, sounds great. I love the new hair, but my favorite is the extra long black locks:). She’s definitely underrated, one of the greatest of my time for sure. Wish the video was better and we could see her face because she has the best facial expressions when she is performing lol. Much love JoJo! This was a great performance… BUT
I feel she shoulda… made it more SEXY!
