After breaking us off with a snippet of “9th Inning,” Missy Elliott reveals the basketball-themed artwork for her second new single “Triple Threat” featuring Timbaland. The hip-hop trailblazer, along with Timbaland, will premiere both tracks in full in her first-ever Ustream session on Monday, September 17, at 6:45 p.m. EST. Fans can submit questions on her official website.

What do I think about the artwork? Well, why don’t I just go outside and take a picture of myself holding a basket ball, then edit it in Photoshop, then BAM I too would have a single cover.

Not really impressed with this at all.

@coolio, Single covers don’t have to be impressive. Some single covers are just words on a background and the artist is nowhere to be seen. Honestly who even cares that much about single covers. The single itself is what matters. And the actual album holds much more importance.
