Solange is back! After parting ways with Interscope Records following the release of SoL-AngeL and The Hadley St. Dreams in 2008, the singer returns with her new single “Losing You.” Penned by Solange and Dev Hynes and produced by Blood Orange, the funky record will be released digitally on October 2 via Terrible Records. It will also include the B-side track “Sleep in the Park.” Preview 40 seconds of the song in the video below.

@OH PLEASE, I agree 1000% Sol Angel and the Hadley street dreams was one of the best albums of 2009. The creative direction that Solange headed in was so beautiful and intricate and because of its complexity most people couldn’t understand, it takes true musical minds to see the greatness in that album. I definitely feel that Solange was ripped off when not receiving a grammy for that record. Solange is a great writer and should receive way more attention then she receives. I love her, theres just something about her quality which is so organic!
Awesome! Love Solange! Her 2008 album is STILL one of my favorite albums. It was so fresh and innovative. I’m so eager to hear what her new sound if gonna be for this album! Can’t wait!!! :)
I loved the style of her last album and judging by the small snippet, it seems like she is extending on that sound. I can’t wait to hear some new songs from her!!!
This is gonna be dope. She was a little shaky with her last 3 albums but I think she’s really found herself this time around. The teaser looks really good.
Solange and the Haldey street dreams was a classic period! That album did not get the shine it deserved. Its very upsetting to see how they played Solange with that album and it was the best soul album to come out that year, I still play Ode to Marvin, TONY, Cosmic Journey, God Given Name, I told You So, Sandcastle and countless others. Solange needs that support because her talent is real and organic compared to the PR Stunts her sis uses.
Dope! I personally know solange, she is extremely talented & mad cool. Blood Orange is amazing, so I can only imagine this single being epicness. People stop hating. It’s enough room in the music business for everyone, especially two sisters who are both notably talented. Im EXCITED. It’s time for some new music that’s good to the ears, not all this bubblegum-microwave music. #TeamSolange
