It was a G.O.O.D. day at “106 & Park” when 2 Chainz, Common, Big Sean, Teyana Taylor, CyHi the Prynce, and Travi$ Scott stopped by to promote the Cruel Summer compilation. Decked out in all white, the crew sat down for an interview and hit the stage for a performance.

They discussed their accomplishments, comraderie, and explained some of the songs on the album.

Teyana spoke about being the first female signed to G.O.O.D. Music. “[My life has] changed tremendously,” she said. “But as far as my grind and my hustle, that has never changed. Nothing can stop that. I’m excited to be a part of it and happy to have people that believe in me and constantly have me working.”

One of G.O.O.D. Music’s original members, Common, praised the chief, Kanye, who was M.I.A. “That guy is a genius. He’s one of the most talented and passionate people I’ve met in my life,” said the Chi-town MC, while Pusha T added, “It’s like being in school. Kanye’s a major, major critic, but it’s all for what’s best for the record. But he’s on top of you, just making sure that it’s gonna be perfect.”

Sean and 2 Chainz performed “Mercy,” while Pusha delivered his verse on “New God Flow.” 2 Chainz returned for “Birthday Song” and they joined together for “Don’t Like (Remix),” bringing out the rest of the crew for “Clique.”

@me, I was just mesmorized by the entire crew. This picture does not do them justice. Weird because I watched their video but the sit down on 106 @ Park blew me away.

@S*, G.O.O.D stands for Getting Out Our Dreams. It’s a label started my Kanye West that all these guys are signed too. Think of it in the same vein as if Def Jam release an album feature their top artist.

And for the record I have actually had the pleasure of metting her in person. And trust me when I tell you beacuse of my work I see a lot of celebs and Teyana is one of thee most beautiful women i have ever seen in my life. Picture, cameras, Television do her no justice, Honestly.

@SLAYANNA, it wasnt her fault she was signed under star trek ( pharells label ) and he wasnt doing much with her at all she was suppose to release and album adn all but never did because her label boss.. so she asked to be realease and once that happened she was given creative freedom and was signed to Good Music … and she sings alot of the backing vocals of MBDTF … and sounds great .

SHADE THROWN! Teyanna want to be Rihanna so bad it’s evident here! Teyanna, what happened to the sneakers, hooded, wife beater, & hat? I thought you said you are your own person so why you up there trying (i used that term loosely) to look like Rihanna! Oh how they sell out so quickly for FAME! I appreciated Teyanna a lot better when looked like herself!

And Teyana still has her “Tom Boy Swagg” wich she said “will never change.” And incase you havent noticed Teyana can rock a heel or a sneaker feircely. And the transition and how she is able to flow between the 2 is respected. Not many females are able to do so.

@KidzKrazy, I say, first impressions are lasting impressions…! For those that are unaware of who Teyanna is, Ms. Taylor should reveal to the (ENTIRE) world who she really is first (in terms of her style) before switching (reinventing) that way what happened about a month or two ago (the Rihanna comparisons) would’ve been avoided! No one is knocking her feminine style sense but it’s strikes me as odd, the minute she starts to be perceive or join a major label, evidently her boyish signature style that got her allegedly notice (among other things) by the audience/viewers went right out the window especially making all that noise about RiRi allegedly jacking her style! Transition? Every woman can do that especially the female artist in the past & now are doing that. Rihanna’s style which she said 5 yrs ago is described as boy meets girl/GlamRock/best of both worlds!

My thing is with Ms. Taylor is that she claimed that the ‘tom boy swagg’ is hers when this has been done by ‘Latifah, TLC, EVE, Beyonce, now Rihanna). So what was Teyanna’s point couple months ago especially when Rihanna never claim that style just a phase or the flavor of the month to Rihanna!

In my opinion, Teyanna is looking for attention! Do not claim something that has been done before or that every woman does!

@Free Your Mind, Im not sure if i understand the point you are trying to make. Mabey because there is none. I don’t know. But Teyana has paid homage to all those women who did it before her in an interview. She knows that she was not the 1st. You say Rih described her look as “best of both worlds” why is it different with Tey? She’s not entitled to wear a dress because she wears jeans and sneakers more often? She can do whatever the hell she wants aswell as Rihanna. You said “first impressions are lasting impressions.” I dont agree with that. So does that mean what Rihanna did when she first came out, i should EXPECT that 5 years from then? No. Times change, styles change, PEOPLE change. The end. But youre entitled to your opinion, and im not gonna argue about that.
