Rap-Up.com || Bruno Mars Readies New Single ‘Locked Out of Heaven’

Bruno Mars is closing out the year with a new album. The Grammy-winning crooner is readying a new single and video for release next month.

“Locked Out of Heaven,” the first single off Bruno’s sophomore album, is set to premiere on October 1 at 7 p.m. EST, while a video is already in the works with director Cameron Duddy. Immediately following the YouTube premiere, he will chat with his fans during a live Google+ session.

The project marks the follow-up to Bruno’s 2010 breakthrough debut Doo-Wops & Hooligans, which spawned the hit singles “Just the Way You Are,” “Grenade,” and “The Lazy Song.”

“I want to have fun on this next album,” the 26-year-old previously told Ryan Seacrest. “I think that’s the most important key, especially now that I’ve been on the road and am playing a lot of shows. I have a little more of a vision than I think I did with Doo-Wops & Hooligans.”

The album, due in December, is already in the can. “Over a year workin on it and now Im finally finished. My 2nd album is complete!!!!!” tweeted Bruno.

YESSS, I’M SO EXCITED RIGHT NO! I’m about to be broke thou because all my faves are coming out w/ Albums. Ciara, Christina Aguilera, Solange, maybe Kelly Rowland, Missy (I think), Miguel (got that on lock for next week), & Dawn Richard. I guess that makes easy Christmas gifts for me then :D
