Nicki Minaj is expanding her empire. After launching her own fragrance “Pink Friday” and joining the “American Idol” judges’ panel, the head Barb will reportedly star in an E! reality show.

Perez Hilton reports that Nicki has signed on for her own series, joining the network’s other reality stars including Kim Kardashian. The show is already in production, but E! has yet to make an official announcement.

When asked about the project at her in-store signing, Nicki would not confirm, but she did hint of things to come. “I thought I’d never do something like that and I’m still considering, but I find that the more people see is the more they understand and the more they like you,” she told Hilton.

“If you only have such one-dimensional things to go off of, like rumors and stuff on blogs, then you kinda never get to know the artist, and when you pull them in your world, they see you as a real person and they understand everything. I’m not running away from it anymore.”

Her album Pink Friday…Roman Reloaded Re-Up is due in November, but don’t expect pop-leaning tracks like “Starships.” “It’s more my mixtape feel,” she said of the re-release, which will feature five to six new songs including “The Boys” with Cassie.

Nicki also teased another music-related project for next year. “I do have another surprise,” she said. “I’m not telling anybody anything, but that will be in 2013.”
