Alicia Keys Debuts ‘Brand New Me’ at iTunes Festival![]() Alicia Keys touched down in London town for a performance at the iTunes Festival on Friday. The 31-year-old singer kicked off the 15-song set with the bombastic “New Day” before reviving her classics like “Fallin’” and “You Don’t Know My Name.” She soared through her latest single “Girl on Fire” and introduced “Brand New Me,” a personal record that she co-wrote with Scottish singer Emeli Sandé. “That was my declaration and this one’s my autobiography,” said Alicia as she sat at the piano (46:47 mark). “I love this song. This song is so, so, so important to me and I’m very excited to sing it for ya’ll.” The piano-driven ballad will appear on her upcoming album Girl on Fire, due November 27. “I thought that you’d be happy/ I found the one thing I need/ Why you mad, it’s just a brand new kinda me,” she sings. During the encore, she performed another Girl on Fire cut “Not Even the King” and “If I Ain’t Got You.” Listen to “Brand New Me” and watch Alicia’s entire festival set below.

good music and all but i just feel this album is going to be nothing but PIANO DRIVEN and its going to be boring. Im happy to see that she is in a good place with her music but this album HAS to top element of freedom. its just a must and EOF was one of her best

@hh, You’ve got to be kidding. I hope it is STILL piano driven. That is what Alicia is all about and the reason myself and a lot of her fans love her music so much. Alicia and the piano are like “ONE” and never never ever boring. This show was so good and “Brand New Me” was so touching and a true Alicia classic with the piano intro very much loved and appreciated. I agree TEOF was one of her best and will be hard to top, but I think she can do it. So happy this site posted so much of the show.

Im feelin “Brand New Me” but I’m hoping the album isn’t mostly piano driven songs (with the exception of the title track. Her voice shines on the piano driven tracks but they can be draining.

her fan base has depleted. that’s why her music isn’t doing well. It’s all been done before. People are not going to buy an album if it’s similar to her previous album.
Besides doesn’t she have a family to take care of. Find another avenue cause the singing career is over. Her and Beyonce are old news. Old hags trying to stay cool. Your time is up and people are over it. Time to bring in new talent.

@aliciasahomewrecka, old hags trying to stay cool? They are entertainers! This is their career. Making music is WHAT THEY DO. Alicia and Beyonce are respected industry vets at this point who still have VERY LOYAL fan bases. Get over it!!!

@aliciasahomewrecka, Not sorry to disappoint you, but her fan base continues to grow and Alicia’s music is doing fine, contrary to what negative people like you choose to think. And I suppose you think you’re the expert as to what ALL people will buy. I don’t think you’re that great at being right. Hmm, old hags trying to stay cool. Take a look at yourself. I think your time is up and fortunately your wishes aren’t coming true. Btw, did you even listen to “Brand New Me”? Well it probably wouldn’t do you any good anyway.

She killed that song. I love the meaning behind it and it’s very inspirational. I’m glad she worked with Emeli Sande on this track, it definitely seems like a song that could’ve been on her album, “Our Version of Events” which is an AMAZING ALBUM. I’m so excited to hear Alicia’s new album!!!
