Rap-Up.com || Album Cover: Meek Mill – ‘Dreams and Nightmares’

Maybach Music’s Meek Mill unveils the cover for his highly-anticipated debut Dreams and Nightmares, due October 30. The illustrated artwork portrays his rise from the bottom to the top with an image of a handcuff to represent his incarceration and a gold watch to show how far he’s come. The 25-year-old Philly MC pushed the album back from August to ensure it was up to par.

“A lot of people been shying away from the real rapping and hip-hop. I’m really representing,” Meek told Nessa on WiLD 94.9. “When I come out with my album, I want to have a classic album, an Illmatic, a Hard Knock Life, Get Rich or Die Tryin’ type of album.”

On the heels of his Dreamchasers 2 mixtape cuts “Amen” and “Burn,” he has released the official first single “Young & Gettin It” featuring Kirko Bangz.

Mistake..those albums he just mentioned didnt have
Many features yet meek already has 3 on his first
3 singles..classucs are about the artist not collabs

@Ey, I kinda agree with you. Also, those albums he mentioned slayed with production and storylines. The songs on those albums made you want to sit still and listen to the story. I’m not sure if Meek’s album will have those characteristics. I mean he has yet to do so. All of his songs cover the same subject matter and it’s not done in an intricate way. Just straight forward. But we’ll see.

Im sorry but with a single….with kirko bangs will not be compared to those albums…niggas didnt synthisize any songs they spit in the real voice of pain….i just dont see it with his repeat chorus im curious to see # i feel his mixtapes will sell more

@miles, when i look at it again i see the thought process, which was creative making it handcuffs. I didnt catc that at first. but it still looks like a mixtape cover. he should had a frontal picture of himself wearing the cuffs. that woould have looked dope. His music sucks though sooooo…
