Rap-Up.com || New Music: Brandy – ‘No Such Thing As Too Late’

Brandy preaches eternal love on “No Such Thing As Too Late.” The mid-tempo number, written and produced by hitmaking heavyweights Rico Love and Jim Jonsin, will appear on the singer’s highly-anticipated new album Two Eleven, due October 16.

“I can’t hold out any longer!!!” Brandy tweeted earlier today upon releasing the song for her Starz. In an interview with Rap-Up.com, the R&B songstress said she wants the track to be her third single.

“It’s a ballad, but it has a knock to it,” said Brandy. “Rico Love put his foot in this song. He put his heart and soul into it.”

MAN! I’m not diggin’ the production on these new records. Brandy’s voice is so timeless & classic that she doesn’t need all of these clattering 808′s and synths. If anyones ever heard “Acapella” then you know what I’m saying. She always records with heart though. So, based on that. I still can appreciate this, even though it leans on the edge of sounding like Kelly Rowland’s “Motivation”.

this may not be pitch perfect but i am convinced!! brandys smokey tones convey pure emotion. personally i prefer when singers sound raw instead of autotuned to within an inch of their life. i have loved every track released thus far from this album. her vulnerability and feeling is a credit to her talent
