Rap-Up.com || Tyrese, Ginuwine, and Tank Make TGT Group Official

Tyrese, Ginuwine, and Tank are bringing back “real R&B” by making their TGT supergroup official.

The three R&B singers came together years ago with the idea of forming a collective and now, they have officially signed to Atlantic Records.

“It’s called bringing that real thing back…real men, real singing, real love,” says Tank in a new promo video showcasing the men shirtless in the gym and hanging out.

“While y’all sleeping, we creeping,” says Ginuwine, while Tyrese dubs the group “The Avengers.” It’s clear from the clip that the men are friends in real life too, joking around with each other.

TGT is currently in the studio recording their first album.

I will be checking for this album I am a huge fan of all R&B from the 90′s until now, But the real R&B was back in the 90′s when the true artist like R. Kelly, Tank, Ginuwine, Tyrese, Musiq Soulchild, Avant, Donnell Jones, And many more artist were great. I will never understand this who generation of saying they are not relevant or there done or washed up they do not have to prove anything anymore and they have always made great music. So I will be looking forward to that smooth and grown sound of R&B music form these 3.

Fact #1 this is REAL rnb. Not that disco pop shit (or so called club bangers) that Usher and Breezy put out

Fact #2 you lot are probably a bunch of 14 year olds who think If Lil Wayne put out an auto tuned slow down LP that he should win a Grammy or some crap!

Fact #3 Tyrese last album is soulful, real rnb. No one will remember these “climax” records in 10 years. In 10 years were still talking about the great rnb from mid 90s to mid 2000s!

Fact #4 TGT won’t sell many records because kids these days don’t understand rnb. This is a throwback for us old school heads who appreciate QUALITY RNB.

Fact #5. Because of this ugly YMCMB movement even artists feel they need one of these clowns to feature to make it a hit. Alicia Keys Girl on fire is a beautifully written track but damn nicki Minaj ruins that track. But Alicia knows, nobody appreciates quality rnb these days so she may as well ruin a hit with a whack rap because that’s the garbage people buy today.

@Imani, fair call fair comment. But the music is more pop sounding then rnb. You cannot say that ushers music is rnb. It’s like just cause weezy makes a rock album, does that mean he’s up there rocking with Lenny kravitz or something. ? Usher as an example, his best music was rnb. Times have changed yes but these times are shit

@Imani, did you listen to tyrese last album? 90% of it was real rnb. Don’t worry about what’s on the iTunes top 20, quality music is what tyrese made.
Modified? Rnb has been modified to poppy disco rubbish. I hate seeing the likes of Chris brown and usher win awards or nominations for a genre that isn’t what there music is.
