Rap-Up.com || Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon Enjoy ‘Family Day’ with Their Twins

Mariah Carey has been making headlines for her feud with Nicki Minaj, but the drama was the last thing on her mind over the weekend. Radiant in red, the “American Idol” judge joined her husband Nick Cannon at the first-annual “Family Day” presented by Safe Communications and Kuboo.com at the Santa Monica Pier on Saturday.

The superstar couple posed for pics with their adorable twins Monroe and Moroccan, who were dressed in their best. Mom and dad had some fun of their own, sitting in the front row as they rode the rollercoaster.

When interviewed by TMZ at the event, Nick brushed off the “Idol” controversy. “It’s not a big deal at all,” he said. “It’s been overly sensationalized. The media feeds into it, but hopefully they’ll focus on what’s important, a show where everybody wants to strive for their dreams and young people be inspired.”

The “America’s Got Talent” host is hoping to encourage “Family Day” to be a recognized holiday like Mother’s Day and Father’s Day.
