Rap-Up.com || President Obama Believes Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey Will ‘Sort It Out’

President Obama has plenty of pressing issues on his plate, but he took a moment away from his re-election campaign to weigh in on Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey’s “American Idol” tiff. Lucky for us, the President thinks the dueling divas can sort it out.

When asked about the skirmish during an interview on “The Yo! Show,” Obama said, “I think that they are going to be able to sort it out. I am confident. I’m all about bringing people together, working for the same cause. I think both outstanding artists are going to be able to make sure that they’re moving forward and not going backwards.”

The always-diplomatic Obama didn’t choose a side, but had complimentary things to say about both “Idol” judges. “[Mariah's] actually done some events for us. I’ve gotten to know her and Nick [Cannon]. She’s a wonderful lady,” he said.

While he doesn’t know Nicki personally, he added, “I’ve got her on my iPod.”

@Rachel, It’s not about talent. It’s about knowing if the contestant would make it in the industry, she knows what good sounds like considering she’s worked with many singers, i dont even like her.

@Teezy, to say Nicki has no talent is ridiculous…you don’t have to like her but come on! She’s a dope rapper! also Nicki can sing…she’s no Whitney, but she can hold a note….also Paula who actually can’t sing nor had a great career was a judge for years…and obviously Nicki knows a little something about being a star since she has the resume of someone of a 10-15 year career in just 2 years

you don’t need to know how to sing to be able to know if someone else can or can not sing…we are all judges in our living room so what’s the difference?

@Twista, Uhm he was doing a radio interview and the asked him a series of questions including this one and what he thought about the debate where he was basically saying that Romney’s statements that night was soo contradictory to everything he was saying prior to the debate. and That same radio interview they asked him why didnt he bring up the secret video and he said The fact is that everybody had already talked about it, everybody had already heard it and that It is a useful reminder, though, that the news media’s attention span is fairly short.

I sure hope so. Mariah Carey is my girl for a long time now and always will be in my book one of the greatest singer/songwriter/recording artist of all time. I was just starting to like Nicki too. It would suck to have to sit next to someone that hates you. Hopefully they work it out. :)

Obama is a personable prez. Thats why younger peopel get involved. Romney is like some old grand pop disconnected. People like personable people.

Plus Romney is making it way to obvious that he is for the rich 1%. Nigga aint even tried to be political about it. He does not believe in affirmative action. He said if you can’t afford college, don’t go. What is that supposed to mean, rich gets richer huh. If he wins, he’s setting us waay back. Obama all day.
