Rap-Up.com || R. Kelly’s ‘Trapped in the Closet’ Series Returns on Black Friday

The saga continues. The next chapter in R. Kelly’s Trapped in the Closet series is just around the corner. The R&B veteran has revealed that he’s filmed 20 new chapters that will drop the day after Thanksgiving.

The next installation of Trapped in the Closet, entitled “Oh Shit!,” promises new plot twists as well as the return of familiar characters like Rufus, Cathy, Gwendolyn, Bridget, Big Man, Rosie the Nosy Neighbor, Twan, and Pimp Lucius.

The series is set to debut on the Independent Film Channel. “We just shot 20 chapters. They’ll be coming out the day after Thanksgiving,” Kellz told TIME. “Trapped in the Closet is forever. I’ve got like a hundred chapters to come.”

He also spoke about the direction of his next album Black Panties. “I decided to go back and do an old-school R. Kelly album like 12 Play,” he said of his iconic 1993 album. “That’s pretty much what it’s going to be, focusing on more of the bedroom ballads. I like to give people variety and I just gave them two years of romance albums and soul.”

He plans to give fans a teaser of the new material on his “Single Ladies” tour, which kicked off this month.

on the real the first time i watch trap in the closet years ago from beging to end was truly TIME WASTED IN MY LIFE. i will never get that time back i mean that feeling doesnt happen to eveyone that often but it real felt like i wasted part of my life!!!!

Revived his career? He was “back” with full of amazing comments about his music in media after 2010 with his Love Letter and this summer Write Me Back. He have not done anything mainstream aka club hits, that’s why losers like you think he is gone.

It’s nice that he is not copying other mainstream artists and go 100% autotune with a Rick Ross or Guetta beat, he does his own thing and have an enormous talent.
