Brandy is making the media rounds to promote her new album Two Eleven and stopped by “Good Morning America” today to talk music and perform live.
“I couldn’t find my place in music. I didn’t know which way I was gonna go, but I found it and I’m happy, happier than I’ve ever been,” the singer said about her current project, which is expected to sell 65-70,000 copies in its first week. “This is really a good time for me.”
Brandy then took the “GMA” stage for a live performance of “Put It Down” and “Wildest Dreams.” Outfitted in leather shorts and gold gloves and accompanied by two female dancers, she appeared to be having fun with her top 5 hit.

Put It Down is not for the GMA audiencee. Maximize your promo, not alienate people.
And grab a mic stand and remind people that your voice is special.

@DRB, sit down ho!
Beyonce is running in her underwear 90% of the time! other 10% she is wearing drag queen sequin dresses at breakfast shows and making millions with pe recorded vocals.
Compare this to Bran!

@MusicJunkie, I know this post ain’t about Beyonce but you gotta say things and give your props when its due!
Brandy does not need to wear a huge frontlace, wear mens clothes that dress as women, have 20 windmachines and 30 dancers and 3 tights!
she has real personality and realness. she is sweet, experienced, feminine and true to herself with 9 albums on her belt!

@Diego, You need to have several seats. If you graduated any school you would know what “Expected” means. It’s not the Final result. At any time that number can change. SMH

@Diego, Actually 70k is good IMO. Times are tough for R&B music right now. We’re in a digital era now. I mean look at some of the popular artists, Nicki did 200k first week, Chris Brown did like 150k first week and they both had a couple songs in the top 10 or top 20. She could of easily sung on a song, added a dubstep beat and got her number 1. But no she stuck to her roots. Put it Down had great radio play and did good on the urban charts better than I thought it would do. That’s also the “expected” result its not official.

With the way people have been stanning for Brandy lately, I’m surprised she didn’t at least reach the 100K mark. What happened, y’all?

@Monty, who knows! She still might hit the 100k mark! I would expect her to sell more than 70k after all the promo she has done this week.

Loved the performance! The numbers aren’t a deal breaker for me. Sales wise, Brandy has nothing to prove. Above anything else, I wanted an album with great music and vocals from Brandy, first and foremost. She exceeded my expectations! I couldn’t have predicted the things she did or sang about on this album! Loving the love, support, and appreciation she’s getting. It’s so deserved.

@Bran Star, Agreed! She is a legend and has nothing to prove sales-wise. I just hope Brandy realises this and doesn’t measure her worth and success solely on sales. Giving the fans what they wanted musically (and even exceeding their expectations) is the biggest success in my eyes.
For me, this era has brought out a new Brandy; there’s fire in her eyes and a confidence in her performances that I’ve never seen before – it’s so refreshing as a fan, to watch her develop into the performer she was always destined to become.
I realise I’m rambling now but Two Eleven is an amazing body of work and her voice sounds beyond ridiculous!
