Rap-Up.com || Tracklisting: Alicia Keys

Alicia Keys is blazing the trail to her fifth album Girl on Fire. Fresh off the release of her new music video, the Grammy-winning singer took to Instagram to post a handwritten tracklisting.

Due November 27, the follow-up to 2009’s The Element of Freedom features the single “Girl on Fire,” plus contributions from Nicki Minaj, Maxwell, Babyface, Pop & Oak, Emeli Sandé (“Not Even the King”), Jeff Bhasker, Salaam Remi, Swizz Beatz, and John Legend, who co-wrote “Listen 2 Your Heart.” However, this tracklisting does not include any of the features.

Im laughing at the people saying this Alicia Keys album will flop. Dont you know that all of Alicias albums have debuted at #1 on Billboard and have went 3-6 times platinum except her last one Elements of Freedom and it still sold 1.5 Milliion. Alicia is one artist that will never flop so good luck praying for her downfall.

NETK is a good song. New Day and Girl on Fire just made me go WTF so NETK was a breath of fresh air even though it’s not all that. I was looking forward to buying this album, but I’m just not as excited about this release as I have been for her albums in the past.

After seeing the tracklisting I must say I’m a little bit more excited. Why did she have to add “New Day” though? That song was just not IT. Everything else looks on point. I’ll be an Alicia fan for life!

I really love Alicia, but this may be the 1st era I’m not really “excited” about. Her last 4 albums were amazing in my opinion, but this album seems “forced”, the album cover etc, seems like she’s trying to pass off this “edgy persona”, but I still love her tho, and I hope this album does well.

This is a vast difference from any pervious records, so I am really ready for new stories. I believe this album is like any of the last three is a grower album. “As I Am” took me a good year to like, and really understand. It was a head of his time for me.
