Rap-Up.com || Video: Rita Ora – ‘Shine Ya Light’

Rita Ora returns to Pristina, Kosovo, in the feel-good video for “Shine Ya Light,” the latest single off her Roc Nation debut ORA. The 21-year-old blonde bombshell speeds through the streets on the back of a motorcycle (with an Ora license plate) and gets a police escort. Wearing her signature beanie, she warmly greets her hometown fans and performs on top of the Newborn monument overlooking the city.

“I can’t explain to you what this means,” said the stylish Rita, who was overcome with emotion during her journey home. “This is the only place I wanted to shoot my video.”

Not hating at all cause I like her and the song but…. Very wrong decision from her record label to release this song. Rihanna just released Diamonds which says shine bright and this song is about shining your light, both songs won’t survived on the radio and the winner will obviously be the one with more fans and experience. Weird thing is that they share a record label.

@Gggrrriiisss, omg just b/c they both said the word “shine” means absolutely nothing…u sound ridiculous…first of all, this song came out months before “Diamonds”…and who cares if Rihanna’s song is more successful, as it should be b/c she’s a vet, but that doesn’t mean that this one won’t be successful either.

Jay and the whole RocNation got this under control, they know EXACTLY what they’re doing…if they have to force this girl upon us to make the masses like her, they will! I personally like her, I think she has a great voice, great personality, very professional, dedicated to her work, very pretty, and many other good qualities…I am almost 100% sure she will be up there with Bey & Rihanna within the next few years…once her 2nd album drops i’m sure they will change her whole image and music style up, add some choreo to her vids & performances, and i’m sure she’ll have a slew of other endeavors under her belt. WATCH ‘N LEARN!!

She’s soo unoriginal. She stole Nicki Minaj’s theme from Pound The Alarm. Lol, I couldn’t even finish saying that with a straight face without realizing how dumb I sound smh sadly a certain artist haters don’t realize how retarded they be sounding but Imma save that later since this isn’t a Nicki post. The vids do got a similar concept but their 2 different songs with 2 different individual meanings. So I can’t complain. I like the song tho. :)

Finally a song by here i can appreciate & enjoyed but thing about Rita is that her swag is too much like Rihanna that when i see i don’t see the difference between the two or i don’t see Rita! Before i become a fan, i need to know who she is first! Don’t get me wrong, i’m not saying she’s copying RiRi, if she ever want to ‘Shine Her Light’ to the brightest, she will have to change her swag to be her own artist simply because RiRi was here first & ppl have already said that’s she copy RiRi!

rita is one of the best artists out there because she is her self and not something her fans want her to be. And this song is amazing u canot compare her to rihanna because they both sing in diffrent stiles and u know when rita brings a song out people say they dont always like it but after a week or so they say the LOVE it so her songs grow on u but she is a true star and she shouldnt change one bit xxxx :) :D
