Rap-Up.com || Rihanna Shares the Journey to ‘Unapologetic’

As she inches closer to the release of her seventh album Unapologetic on November 19, Rihanna takes her fans along for the journey.

The “Diamonds” singer gives you a behind-the-scenes look as she goes backstage at the VMAs, visits the shooting range in Las Vegas with her girlfriends, and rehearses for the iHeart Radio Music Festival. She shares her love for Mary Jane, wearing a marijuana-inspired outfit as she boards her private jet, and blows kush during a photo shoot at the studio.

There are funny moments too, when her male friends perform their own choreography to “Diamonds” as RiRi watches. Tag along for the ride.

I feel like all this hate is stupid. Everyone loves an artist when they’re “coming up” and then once they sustain a level of success we start to shit on them. Why? We as people evolve, thus a persons music will evolve. Yes not everyone has amazing vocals, but selecting the sound, and delivering the message is just as important.

Why do we hate so much? Why can’t we love people artists for who they are? Enjoy what Rihanna brings to the table, don’t hold her flaws against her. We’re not perfect in who we are and what we do, so why should she be?

That is why someone like Taylor Swift sells, 1.2 million; she’s not plagued by the massive amount of hatred the hip hop and r&b community face. ENJOY THE MUSIC FOR WHAT IT IS!! Stop trying to be so critical. If minorities (Blacks and Latinos)has that mindset folks like K-Dot, Beyonce, and maybe even Rihanna would sell like Taylor Swift.

What’s sad is not the artist? What’s sad are the haters who are so critical when they would never pick up a mic and do what these folks do? It’s easy to talk shit about an artist, but Lord knows you don’t know what it takes…

Give life, be positive, make the culture grow. Stop the hate.

Well country has a bigger audience too, so you have to take that into account. There are places in Kentucky, WV, Ohio, etc that go out in droves to buy country albums. I think hip-hop/r&b fans only respect authentic, good music. Because hip-hop/r&b had evolved so much and had adopted so many other genres in its the process, it is hard for traditional hip-hop heads and r&b lovers to accept that. Country hasn’t evolved as much, at least no in that way. I do think hate has a little something to do with it, but you should look at it from another perspective too
