Rap-Up.com || Beyoncé, Mariah Carey, Keri Hilson, T.I., & Brandy Go to the Polls and Vote

After months and months of campaigning, Election Day is finally here. Just like millions of Americans, the stars headed to the polls to cast their votes for the next president.

Beyoncé held up her ballot for all to see, Brandy and her boyfriend cast their votes early, LeToya Luckett voted with her grandmother, and ATLiens T.I. and Keri Hilson proudly displayed their Georgia voter stickers.

“My voice was heard today as an African-American, as someone from the Middle-Class, but most importantly in this particular election, as a WOMAN. #VOTE,” tweeted Keri.

After campaigning for the president in Charlotte, North Carolina, Mariah Carey got up early and headed to her local polling center to cast her vote for Obama. “Let your vote be heard!! Four more years!” said the pop diva.

yeah so there have been celebrities that believe in the importance of voting for decades and have excercised their oppinions & still do now even at advanced age. Joanne Woodward is a perfect example at nearly 83 she still campaignes for candidates at city state and federal levels and votes in every election. even last election in 08 when she could’ve cast an absentee ballot to avoid the paparrazzi chasing her so soon after her beloved husband Paul Newman died of cancer. yet she still went to the Polls not even realizing the paps were photographing her and those pictures weren’t flattering and made their fans want to protect her she had spent nearly 2/3 of her life married to him and that election was bearly 6 weeks after he passed awy.

i bet they all feel important because the new trends is the celebrities care about viting and just so everyone knows let me take a photo of myself for some publicity. it so damn annoying and the only reason rap/r&b artist care about voting know is because obamas black and thats all they know not even his policies on anything i bet all of them werent takin pictures of themeselves 8 years ago i bet most of them werent even registred to vote.

@tt killa, first of all, they’re taking pictures and uploading them to encourage fans to vote. also, how do you know they’re voting for obama? and even if they are, how do you know it’s just because he’s black? that’s pretty arrogant and presumptuous. there’s a good chance most of them know more about politics than you. also, if anything, they have more reason to vote for romney. he’s the one who’s cutting taxes for the rich, not obama.
