Rap-Up.com || Single Cover: Skylar Grey f/ Eminem

Skylar Grey gets down and dirty on the cover of her new single “C’mon Let Me Ride.” The bikini-clad singer-songwriter shows a sexier side as she rides a bicycle through the mud on the artwork. The song, produced by Alex Da Kid, samples Queen’s “Bicycle Race” and features Eminem. The Detroit rapper has signed on to executive produce her debut album Don’t Look Down.

“The song is something totally unexpected from me,” said Skylar. “Sometimes I can’t even believe that it came out of my mouth. But it did. And soon, it will be in your ears.”

A video was shot in Detroit last month, while the song will hit iTunes on December 11.

Hmmm I love her voice but I feel like this will be less singing and more talking for a radio friendly pop tune which I hope isn’t because she has talent. Maybe it’s just a fun experimental song?! Wish her the best, I love me some Skylar I just hope her debut is done right… :-/

Not sure how many different images/names she needs to go thru to make it but this reeks of desperation. I doubt anyone is buying the old “its b/c the song is a parody of the industry”. thats just a way of doing the exact same thing without owning it. even more so here since she’s promoting herself with pics like this long before the single comes out.
Im sure she’ll get gain a few more male fans that will just fap to her pics but I dont think its going to help sell her stuff. It was never an image problem, its her music. her voice is very nice but seems to have a very limited range. she needs to work on that instead of going this route. what will she resort to when this doesnt help sell, the old “accidental” nude photo tweet, “someone hacked phone and stole her nudes” or the best one..a sex tape. such a shame b/c she is talented I just dont think her own music appeals to a lot of people
