Rap-Up.com || Rihanna Gives Back to Hurricane Victims at ‘Unapologetic’ Party

Rihanna had fun and gave back at a pre-release party supporting victims of Hurricane Sandy on Friday.

Wearing a Proenza Schouler Birds Quilted Silk Jacket, the pop superstar greeted her fans at Jay-Z’s 40/40 club in New York and played music off her upcoming album Unapologetic.

She donated 1,000 sleeping bags to the New York Daily News’ Hurricane Sandy relief effort and encouraged others to do the same. Her fans were seen bringing clothing, blankets, and cleaning supplies, which will be delivered to hard-hit areas of the city on Saturday.

“Hurricane Sandy has deeply affected the lives of millions all across the Eastern Seaboard,” RiRi told the Daily News. “Now is the time for us to come together and do whatever we can to aid those in need.”

She will perform “Diamonds” and a new song off Unapologetic tonight on “Saturday Night Live.”

@Outspoken, clearly you didn’t read the article where it says that it was mandatory for everyone who went to the listening party to bring something for the victims so she is giving more than just sleeping bags. Rihanna is actually giving to the victims while other famous people haven’t even at least helped the victims
