New Music: T.I. – ‘Clique (Remix)’

Clique (Remix)

Grand Hustle meets G.O.O.D. Music on the remix to “Clique.” T.I. adds a boastful verse to the posse cut off Cruel Summer featuring Big Sean, Kanye West, and Jay-Z. “Don’t nobody do it like my motherfu**in’ clique,” raps Tip, whose album Trouble Man drops on December 18.

@flawda, I couldn’t agree more. I feel bad because it ain’t like he’s not talented. He just got lost…other artist moved in. I hope he has a resurrection.

@flawda, i agree. T.I. Fell off so hard and now hes on everybody jock now trying to resurface. I feel like hes hoping on remixes w/o even being asked to join the song,I feel like back in the day he would be asked but now, no way. Not to mention that television show killed his image in many ways. Hes a family man so what he raps about today is irrelevant. He better stick to ludacris and learn some lessons, books, restaurants and etc.

@niuhuskie, his music is better than everything I hear on the radio, it’s not him that fell off, it’s the public that doesn’t appreciate real music anymore.

@niuhuskie, but T.I. is still better than all these rappers that are “hot” right now

You know T.I is trying to do a song with Jay and Kanye but he’s not on their level (Not that he ever was).. he remixed H.A.M, Pairs, Mercy, Don’t Like.. Now this, just give up. I was a T.I fan but he went in and out of jail his music started to fall behind the trend and hes not a trend setter to make his own lane

@iller, T.I. is better than Kanye

    [Reply]

    TRA Reply:

@Wade, T.I. is a better lyrical rapper than Kanye West, but Kanye West is a better music artist, and a better producer than T.I. Kanye West has made classic albums that are better than T.I.’s albums. Kanye West is much more bigger than T.I. when it comes to putting out great music.

    [Reply]

    Sorry Reply:

    @iller, See: “Swagger Like Us”.

One of the best songs coming from a group of rappers, if not the best.
This was Tip’s record before it became Jay’s.

So, Tip is definitely on their level, if not above it.

T.I. has fallen off, big time. If only he hadn’t gotten locked up. You would think that would build the suspense for when he got out, but it had the opposite effect. On top of that, it happened twice. Not a good look.

so sad that you people sleep on artist with actual talent, T.I. is hands down top 20 best rappers OF ALL TIME! Instead you guys listen to Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne and the rest of those overrated ‘rappers’

    [Reply]

    TRA Reply:

@GOOD Music, I believe T.I. is one of the greatest, most underrated mainstream rappers in hip hop history and music history. T.I. is one of the top 100 greatest rappers of all time. I believe T.I. is a talented rapper and a talented actor. Over the last 5 years, T.I. has fallen off musically. One of the main reasons why T.I. fell off is because T.I. went to jail twice in 3 years, after promising his loyal fans that he would never go back to jail, and T.I. broke his promise.

Back in the early 2000s, and late 2000s, T.I. was one of the top 10 best rappers in hip hop. Almost ever T.I. album has gone platinum, so there is no question that T.I. has had a successful rap career before he went to jail. Another reason why T.I. fell off is because T.I. has been replaced by Drake and Kendrick Lamar who have both become superstars in hip hop. I do believe T.I. is a better lyrical rapper than Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, and Nicki Minaj, but Lil Wayne and Rick Ross have become more popular than T.I. lately. Even when T.I. was considered one of the top 10 best rappers alive, nobody ever put T.I. on the same level with Kanye West, Jay-Z, and Eminem when it came to putting out great music. I would love to see T.I. make a huge comeback to music, but I don’t think hip hop fans outside of T.I.’s fanbase will ever support T.I.’s music ever again.

@TRA, you mean over the past 4 years he fell off , “Paper trail” came out in ’08 and that was a great album commercially and critically

but i agree with everything else you said

    [Reply]

    TRA Reply:

@Sesame, It is true that T.I.’s Paper Trail album came out in 2008, and was both commercially successful, and critically acclaimed, but I felt that T.I.’s music began to decline in late 2007 when T.I. released T.I. vs. T.I.P. album in 2007. I believe T.I.’s T.I. vs. T.I.P. album was a good album, but it wasn’t a great album that was classic. After T.I. released T.I. vs. T.I.P. album in 2007, T.I.’s personal life was in trouble when he got arrested for guns and got sentenced to 1 year in jail. Before T.I. released Paper Trail in 2008, T.I. was dealing with his personal life in trouble. After T.I. released Paper Trail in 2008, I thought Paper Trail was a very, good album, but Paper Trail sounded similar to T.I. vs. T.I.P. album. I felt T.I. reached his peak creavitity wise when it came to making good music. In 2010, before T.I. released No Mercy album, T.I. ended up being sentenced to 1 more year in jail. T.I.’s No Mercy album sounded like an extended version of Paper Trail. I believe T.I. put out No Mercy album too quickly to stay relevant while being in jail for most of 2011. I believe No Mercy album had the potential to be a classic, but it was only a good album. Hopefully, T.I. can make a great comeback, and a great album, but T.I. is struggling to make a hit record.

@king, I never turned on T.I., I’ve always been a fan of T.I.’s music, I will buy T.I.’s next album, but T.I. has a tough road to climb to regain fans that he lost.

All d rappers y’all av mentioned here so far see jay as their icon financially/lyrically…they said it…and they’ve all featured d ‘old man’ n still want him…..TI is a good rapper but plz not close to jay….compare him to J.cole or J electronica lyrically.

@da fan, No Mercy is almost Platinum (900,000+) with not promotion, how did he fall off? He’s better than ALL of the rappers out right now except for Jay and Em. BTW, No Mercy wasn’t really an album, the album put some songs together because he went to jail. His best albums were Trap Muzik and Paper Trail. Actually all his albums were good to me.

Niggas need to learn the difference between “hating” and “criticizing.” As big of a fan as I am, I’ve got no reservations about saying how disappointed I am with the stuff he’s been releasing since his prison release, especially that “Ball.”

    [Reply]

    YMCMB Reply:

@Monty, Ball was something Atlantic wanted him to put out, other than that what was bad? Go Get It IS AMAZING! Love This Life was good but the part where he said ‘b*tch’ made females not support the song as much and every other song was good, especially ‘Trap Back Jumpin’.

    [Reply]

  21. YMCMB

I support folks that make good music, I like Wayne because of his metaphors, I like Kanye because of his catchy songs, I like Jay because of his lyrics and I like T.I. because of his flow and the things he talk about. Throw Eminem in that list and you have the top 5 rappers of today. BUY Trouble Man on December 18!
