Kanye West and Alicia Keys

Kanye West is lending his talents to a good cause. The hip-hop superstar will perform at a benefit concert for victims of Hurricane Sandy.

Clear Channel Media and Entertainment, The Madison Square Garden Company, and The Weinstein Company have announced the “12.12.12” concert, which will take place at New York’s Madison Square Garden on December 12, 2012.

In addition to Kanye, the star-studded show will feature performances from Alicia Keys, Jon Bon Jovi, Billy Joel, Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band, Roger Waters, and The Who, with more artists to be announced.

The concert will air simultaneously across all 850 Clear Channel radio stations nationwide and on the Fuse television network. Proceeds will go to the Robin Hood Relief Fund to assist millions of people in the tri-state area who have been affected by Superstorm Sandy.

“‘12.12.12’ is shaping up to be a showcase of music royalty,” said the promoters in a statement. “The response from the entertainment community to help those most affected by Hurricane Sandy has been nothing short of astounding. We expect to announce additional legendary performers in the near future and we are confident that the event will ensure those in need will not be forgotten, and vital aid will be directed to rebuilding our communities along the East Coast.”

Tickets and on-sale information will be released in the coming days. For more, visit www.121212concert.org.
