Ne-Yo was back in the hot seat on “Chelsea Lately.” Since his last visit, he has become a father twice (“lots of music and sex”). He spoke about dedicating a song on his new album R.E.D. to his daughter Madilyn Grace and his appreciation for Taylor Swift, whose latest album has a similar title.

“It wasn’t really a big deal. I feel like great minds think alike,” said Ne-Yo of the coincidence. “I’m a fan of Taylor Swift. I think that she’s an incredible writer, incredible singer. And she’s not hard to look at either.”

He also was happy with the critics’ reception to R.E.D. “Critics are actually digging it, which is rare,” said Ne-Yo, who will perform at the Grammy nominations special on December 5.
