Fresh off the release of her new album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded – The Re-Up, Nicki Minaj liberates the striking video for “Freedom.” Shot in England, the Young Money queen looks gorgeous as she poses in couture pieces in the part black-and-white, part color clip, directed by Colin Tilley.
A blonde Nicki wears a crown in one scene and poses in front of an old ship in another. “I wanted it to feel timeless and classic, so it was important that we established a very intense backdrop for all of the setups,” she said during her visit to “106 & Park.”
But things weren’t all glamorous. Nicki said the video was her least favorite to shoot because of the extreme temperatures. “It was five degrees and it was hailing,” she said.
@Kwayzee, This Is Nicki’s Best Video Yet ! Nicki Is a lyrical Genuis and I don’t give a fuck if Anyone Disagree’s ! People should respect her Hustle and Realize that She’s keeping Female Rap Relevant ! Nicki has Accomplished so much That other female rappers have Not !
Btw Nicki Just wrote a $15,000 dollar Check On 106 and park To The Food bank Of New York ! I bet Niggas won’t see that In the Blogs ! #fuckingtragic .
@Izaiah, And that is understood, the reason why people are commenting horrible things about NIcki Minaj is because she isn’t staying true to herself ….Claiming that is Hip-hop when she isn’t she Pop ….

@Kwayzee, I know that some haters are goin’ to say s**ts But f**k That, Nicki Is The Hottest Female artist Out Now… She be Schoolin’ Them Ho*s they’re all Nicki Students
@boom boom, Its funny how her album came out before Rihanna’s and Rihanna have already claim a high spot in the market …
SMH Nicki Minaj knew she wasn’t gonna do good, and that why she took that job at “AMERICAN IDOL” and even accepted a “reality Show”
She is soo CORNY
@iBzThuggin’, Rihanna’s and Nicki’s album came out on the same day. Plus Rihanna’s is a whole new album and Nicki’s was a Re-realease, they don’t normally do as well. I don’t even know why your comparing the two, they make two different genres of music.
@cc, simply the fact the female rap was on a drought before her. what female has reached the success of Nicki Minaj before her? Missy years back? So her coming out and being successful shows record labels that females in hip hop can accomplish many goals, thus providing opportunities for up and coming female rappers.
@Freedom, How Nicki opened doors for female rappers but hasn’t ever reached out and collabed with NOT ONE! When you open doors you usually commend one at least or work with ONE. What female rapper has Nicki even embraced and reached out to? And it’s more rappers than just Kim. NOT ONE! She constantly demean female rappers in her songs.
@Kalil, Nicki worked with Trina and she’s friends with Foxy
Her BET speech “thank you to all the female rappers that paved the way for me”
And now, whether you like it or not, she IS opening doors. Everybody wants to discredit her, but the facts are that, FACTS. New female rappers are coming in because of NICKI MINAJ.
A female rapper didn’t chart for 8 YEARS until NICKI MINAJ came in the game. Say whatever you want, but NICKI MINAJ IS paving the way.
@Kaylaa, Again since NiCki opened doors what female rappers has she worked with that walked through this alleged door!!. She’s worked with MANY male rappers with ease why not any female rappers since she claiming ownership to pre existing doors! Female rappers are having a hard time being signed by record labels. It’s all about the politics in music now Period!!!! And Foxy don’t count. She rapped a song with Nicki on a STAGE for publicity.
@Anonymous, Nicki doesn’t have to work with these rappers to open doors. The fact that she’s succeeding in female rap opens doors because it shows the record labels it can be done!! The female rappers that have been signed after Nicki’s success has had that door opened by her. Male rappers also have a hard time getting signed, everyone does! its not meant to be a easy process, if it was everyone would be signed.
OMG Reply: November 20th, 2012 at 6:38 am
@Kaylaa,
Nicki didnt work with Trina hun,
They were both featured on someone elses song. So is not like Nicki reached out to Trina for a collabo.
Nicki IS friends with Foxy but apparently she doesnt deem Foxy good enough for a feature.
Nicki HAS opened many doors but only kept them open long enough for her to pass through. I don’t get how she “looks up” to some of these veteran Female rappers but never reaches out to them for a feature. She “opened doors” to all these new female rappers but doesn’t even acknowledge them. Nicki has done amazing things with her career.. but at the end of the day she hasn’t extended a hand like other female rappers have done in the past. That’s my only problem with her. Actions means louder than words .. and her actions don’t add up with her words. Anyways didn’t she say on her song “top of the toppa, I never fuck with beginners!”
@OMG, SMH YOU A STUPID HOE.! Trina collaborated with nicki on her amazing album! On a song called ding a lang! Second in the words of da brat ” I feel like Nicki is opening doors for all of us new and old. Nobody wanted to invent in a female rapper, but after her sucess theyre more willing to invest.
jjj Reply: November 21st, 2012 at 9:08 am

Kwayzee Reply: November 19th, 2012 at 4:25 pm
@cc, for black females to realize they can achieve anything they put their mind to. such as being the first black female on a huge show such as american idol.
@:p, They opened those doors so long ago that they closed bcuz no one else kept them opened. Nicki came in the game, kick them doors off the hinges and then kept it moving. Understand THAT
@That GUY, But who inspired Nicki to do so? KIM. She wanted to fill KIM’S shoes. Hadn’t it not been for the old school artist, that people are BEGGING to come back, there would be no her and lets not leave out God. UNDERSTAND THAT.
@:p, You’re straying away from the argument bcuz u know what I said was true. She always thans God and Nobody, including Minaj, has discredited Kim or the other rappers hard work @ all, but they did let the door close. They all just stopped rapping around the same time and the door for female rappers had closed until Nicki. THATS THE POINT, UNDERSTAND?
An Reply: November 19th, 2012 at 8:56 pm
I applaud Nicki for her work ethic and her desire to succeed, but to say she opened doors for rappers, but isn’t willing to and has never worked with any is saying to me that she prefers that none walk in the so call door she’s opened. And Foxy don’t count! All the female rappers from the past has worked with and featured other female rappers on their albums.
@An, She has worked with female tho. Do ur research. She may not be willing to work with some of them now, but it’s not just a guilt on her part. What old female rapper has extended an invitation to work with her? And don’t say Missy. All of them has said something along the lines of ” I don’t really listen to her music like that, but I’m willing to work with her”. Making those backhanded comments as if Nick not good enough to collaborate with, but they’ll do it for her benefit is wrong. Especially considering they struggle to get back on. In addition to all that, WHY would she try to put on new female rappers? Though I do agree she should at least have 1 apprentice, if none of the girls trying to come out can’t at LEAST create a comparable buzz to what she had, then what potential are they showing to be a star?
Kween Ebony Reply: November 21st, 2012 at 6:28 am
@:p, No those doors were shut tight.! Nobody wanted invest in female rappers anymore before Nicki!
@Kwayzee, but she bleached her skin dyed her hair blond, wears color contacts and gets nose jobs to conceal her race. this gives you hope as a black women?
@randy, there is no nose job either. Her nose is still very much bony and indian. Yall forget that she’s biracial. Half Indo Trinidadian(People of India who are mixed with people of Trinidad) + Black.
@cc, She opened the door for mainstream music to be more opened minded to Hip Hop by being such a huge crossover artist. People who like mainstream who hear and like Nicki will listen to all her material, including the hip hop rooted ones. They’ll then listen to those who influenced her, Wayne, Drake, and yes, Kim. Doing so broadens Hip Hop’s variety listeners and teaches people how to appreciate Hip Hop because it IS an acquired taste for many mainstream listeners. She also ended the female hip hop drought by becoming so successful with her business/brand. Ending this drought has allowed Azelia Banks, Iggy Azelea, Briana Perry, and other aspiring female rappers to resurface and have someone to look up to for their aspirations. They can look up to Missy, Foxy and Kim, but look where they are now. Struggling to make it in this crazy consistently changing music industry. Nicki is showing newer generations of female rappers how to brand and be successful in this industry. When Nicki came out, Kim, Fox, Missy, etc also made attempts to resurrect rap, but the way they did it was wrong. They spitting like they stuck in the 90′s and early 00′s but that won’t sell, it won’t equal success, and to be honest, they’ll be compared to Nicki to the point where there’s no margin for error in their formulas to return. Nicki has opened doors for new female rappers, but she’s set the bar so high that the old heads won’t be able to ease their way back in after abandoning the craft for so long. You also have to take into account that the way she’s playing her cards inspires even people who have no desire to rap. Her success is not a fluke, it’s not because she was the only female to come out during the drought, it’s bcuz she knows the new formula to success in today’s industry. NO FEMALE RAPPER HAS EVER IN THE HISTORY OF THIS PLANET SHOWED SO MUCH PROMISE/POTENTIAL.
Real Hip Hop Reply: November 19th, 2012 at 4:44 pm
@That GUY, U act like there has never been any more CROSSOVER HIP HOP ACTS COME ON NOW. EMINEM, 50 CENT, JAY-Z, SO MANY OTHERS BEFORE HER. YALL ACT LIKE YALL CANT GIVE CREDIT TO WHERE ITS DUE.
@ImMadAsHell, She’s going overboard by ur standards. In fact, it’s funny that u say that bcuz She is indeed overboard. Over that board that separates rapper and star. She’s a star, those other girls are now just rappers or trying to reenter the game to reclaim their fame.
That GUY Reply: November 19th, 2012 at 7:05 pm
@Real Hip Hop, His question wasn’t about them. The question was about what doors she opened. No one is taking credit from those artists. The fact that you made such a desperate leap into another direction to prove ur point says a lot about ur character and that you’re a hater. And as The person said, we’re talking about FEMALE rappers
@cc, well she did open doors to the toilets of fashion and music…All the things that were to shitty for Kim , Lyte, Latifah and Yoyo, salt Pepa etc …she did open them…thats why she stinks!
Even the Sorapol clothes she is wearing was worn by Azalea banks before!
Any more questions?
@cc, what doors hmm well..Iggy Azalea,Azealia Banks,Black Chyna, to name just a few. She gave them hope of success in the hip hop world.Them bitches was to scared to come up all this time cause they were afraid of rejection, they saw Nicki’s success and went for the leap of faith. Look now, female rap has resurrected. Admit it love. She’s done her part. :)
@WHAT,HER POP SONGS ARE JUST THAT.. POP SONGS.. But songs like Moment 4 Life, Right Thru Me, Did It on Em’ even Freedom are hip hop.. Every Feature she has done has been hip hop.. Her true love is hip hop, songs like Super Bass & Pound The Alarm allow Nicki to have international success, because in many places around the world Hip Hop big like it is in the U.S! Name Me one relevant Female rapper who can goo up against Nicki in Sales? Awards? Sold Out Arenas? Endorsements?
Nicki re-open the door to famale rap.. She didn’t create the door but she is responsible for putting the female rap artist back into the main stream successfully.. When Nicki first came out their wasn’t any female rappers who was on the charts, winning AMAS/VMAS, or even selling albums internationally..
Real Hip Hop Reply: November 19th, 2012 at 4:46 pm
@Tim, SHE ISNT REPSPONSIBLE BECAUSE NO OTHER FEMALE RAP ARTISTS ARE MAINSTREAM NOW. I DONT SEE ANY OF THEM. SHE IS THE ONLY ONE. THE REST HAVENT EVEN DROPPED A DEBUT ALBUM YET. SHE ONLY HELPED HERSELF IF U ASK ME.
@Real Hip Hop, none of these girls work as hard as Nicki…and yes Kreayshawn was the first female rapper to release an album…Nicki made that possible, but she aint responsible for these girls album sales…and Azealia Banks and Iggy are doing it right now…the Nicki Minaj effect is clear but these girls gotta work too
@Trev, How dare you say they don’t work as hard? How do you know? Are you there? They’re doing mixtapes to make it JUST like Nicki did. Azealia has lipstick, collabs with Gaga and Kanye, a model for a mag (or something like that), and an album coming out. I mean, WOW. Smh.
@Tia, never said they don’t work hard…reading is fundamental kiddo…i said they don’t work hard AS Nicki…which is fact…this woman was trained by lil wayne…their work ethic is BANANAS
@Real Hip Hop,they haven’t drop any yet don’t mean the door is closed banks and iggy is dropping next year they both have drop mixtapes and ep,so you see what everyone is talking about.
@Real Hip Hop, But why are you mad? Its not Nicki’s fault that she doesn’t have any competition…..Nicki is the reason you even speak of Azealia and Iggy and whoever else… before Nicki where were they? No where to be found! Nicki has broken barriers and transcened hip-hop whether you like it or not. You people keep saying Queen Latifah but Latifah wasn’t rapping when she put out a perfume, she had to CROSS-OVER to become a mogul. What other female rapper who STAYED in hip-hop,None.
Nicki is giving female rappers a chance to make more money and BRAND themselves.
I don’t understand why you all come on here and try to re-define her career, let alone her success. Like I can understand if you dislike her or if you like her, because your opinions about her are just what they are, your opinions. But why try and redefine her, I don’t get it, its like ya’ll can’t allow the woman to shine and enjoy her success, without throwing shade. Like WTF. Oh and by the way, I’m not even a Nicki fan, but I give her, her praise. #POW
I get she opened doors and she’s extremely successful, but why does she always feel the need to always talk about how shes the only one. It’s very hypocritical. You’re opening doors yet your constantly boasting about being the only one…and how the other female rappers are’nt as good. I’m positive the second one of these new female rappers starts getting mainstream buzz Nicki’s going to be mad. I love nicki but she’s slightly greedy with her spot. I know people are going to make excuses for it but thats my opinion.
@Trev, understood, but kanye or Jayz have never once credited themselves for opening doors. Have they? Ofcourse. but its a whole different dynamic with men because it easier to make it. With nicki it’s a little catty.
@Walter, ummmm female rap isn’t set in stone like male rappers…males can’t really make the claims nicki can because men have always been thriving…females not so much…but Nicki is not only the most successful female rapper in such a short period of time…but she’s one of the most successful rapper PERIOD male or female…what rapper is a judge on idol? have their own fragrance? sold million WW? sold out arena tours? solo grammy set? multiple awards? continuous billboard hits? need i go on?
@Walter, she is a rapper, rappers and male and females go ofter each other sometimes, that don’t mean they don’t want to see each other eat,it,s a part of hip-hop no excuses.
@RDK, I actually agree with you. That make’s sense. I love nicki always have but theres a part of me that cant wait for a younger more innovative female rappert to come for her spot and challenge her…give her some actual competition. It’s entertaining to see how she’ll react when the jabs she threw at the older females get thrown at her. Hiphop is a blood sport.
@walter , This Is Nicki’s Best Video Yet ! Nicki Is a lyrical Genuis and I don’t give a fuck if Anyone Disagree’s ! People should respect her Hustle and Realize that She’s keeping Female Rap Relevant ! Nicki has Accomplished so much That other female rappers have Not !

Still no grammy tho. Plus this video sucks. Nothing timeless about this video at all. If you want to see timeless videos go to Lil Kims catelog. Now thats timeless work. Oh and by the way Lil kim is gearing up to release her new album for 2013 with production from the best. Dr Dre, Timbaland, Bangladesh, Ryan Leslie, Rockwilder and Wyclef so you can expect the best to reign. Sorry but the producers Nicki works with are all trash and give her wack material. Just keeping it real. And Nicki is pretty much running in place. Her next albums gonna be called The Pinkprint lmao just goes to show you how much of a basic bitch she is. Cant think of anything new which is sad. Atleast Kim reinvents herself everytime she comes out with a new album. You will never see the same thing from Kim Always On to the Next….
@The Naked Truth, Exactly. Kim reinvents herself everytime shes always been creative. Nicki Minaj’s creativity is that of a Fly. How the fuk is she gonna have Pink Friday in every title of her album that is the most basic shit ever. And for her to compare it to Blueprint or the Carter series is beyond bogus. Atleast most of Waynes albums have had different titles from when he first came out. Same with Jay-Z. Who the fuck can take Nicki seriously with a title constantly with Pink Friday? I know i wont.
AllAmerykhanBoy Reply: November 19th, 2012 at 9:55 pm
@Enough Said, “Nicki ain’t a rapper Nicki is a BRANDER” (Sweet Dreams Remix 2009) “That’s Pink Friday records & OVO” (Make Me Proud 2011), “Pink Friday (Fragrance) at Macy’s, Thongs & Sum Pasties” (Freedom 2012). “Pink Friday Is MY Brand” (106 & Park 11/19/12)”They Be Like What You Doing? Nicki Branding” (Up In Flames 2012), “Got the clothing line poppin, and the wigs is next” (Up In Flames 2012), “Meetings with the president of every network, That is what the f*ck I call how to network, My net worth, that net works, Keep my shooters out in Brooklyn where the Nets work” (Up In Flames 2012), “But ya’ll don’t hear me tho. all you b*tches death as sh*+” (Up In Flames 2012)”Came straight from the hood with the cross appeal, that’s why these big names wanna toss the deal” (Hell Yeah 2012). Moral to the story if Wayne & Jay-Z did it with the Blue Prints 1, 2 & 3 and Lil Wayne’s Carters I, II, III & IV Why Can’t She Make Her Brand Out Of Pink Friday? o.O
Face The Facts Reply: November 20th, 2012 at 10:41 am
@AllAmerykhanBoy, You just answered your own question Shes doing it because shes a follower and not a Leader!!!! She cant think of album titles by herself. How hard is it to think of The Pinkprint? All she did was take out the blue in jay-z’s blueprint. She is such a basic bitch its not even funny
@Face The Facts, Shes not COPYING him as an ARTIST, thats just saying she can CHANNEL a career like Jay-Z. What female rapper been in the game 10+ years and is still relevant, still going on tours, has products sold in stores, has massive airplay, and a loyal fanbase? Nicki WILL lay the PINKPRINT out for other female rappers to remain in the industry like males can and have a successful brand, and marketing tools. So who’s basic now?
No humble pie this thanksgiving for Nicki Minaj. It’s so odd she’s bringing up her “resume” in this particular song after ridiculing Mariah Carey of doing the same thing (apparently) & calling her out as insecure! The hypocrisy continues.
Although I give much credit to Nicki Minaj abd her success but it sounds silly for any upcoming or other popular MC’s to give any kind of gratitude, when in various songs, she exaggerated that no other woman or female rapper is in her league. Let’s see, you want female rappers to worship the ground you walk on while outlining no one could ever be better than you!?
Afterall nobody disses the Beastie Boys because they aren’t dropping albums or remaining relevant, whether its social media or pepsi commercials. If you’re a classic, you’ll remain one, just like MC Lyte, Missy Elliot, Lil Kim and Da Brat. Afterall, Nicki Minaj has still yet to win a Grammy or out perform rising artists like Azelia Banks!
@Kisses, i totally agree!! It’s like she’s claiming she’s opening doors but she’s doing everything in her ability to put some tight ass locks on them doors as well. Can’t wait for A Banks to come for that spot.
@Walter, lol you have to make up your mind, either you like nicki or you hate her…..you can’t have both…..and I LOVE Abank(I have her mixtape and EP) but i don’t think she’ll have the same mainstream success that nicki has, hell her mixtapes haven’t even had the success nicki’s mixtapes did
@Walter, Why does everyone think Azealia Banks is ever gonna SNATCH Nicki’s crown??? SHES NOT! She’s not even on BILLBOARD, Never even heard on the radio. Only time I hear of her is when I hear of Nicki. So all you Azealia stans have a seat. Nicki was doing collabs with Mariah Carey and Jay-Z before her album even came out
@Oh & @justsaying, You guys need to look at the facts. Azealia has had only 1 mixtape and with only one mixtape she has already collabed with MAC, done numerous fashion ads, had her music played at numerous runway shows, headlined at Coachella and numerous other shows, toured around the world and charted in the UK and . It took nicki 3 mixtapes before she even charted and when she did it was because of Wayne’s help on “I get Crazy.” I’m a huge nicki stan so i know my facts but dont try to downplay an up and coming artist when she’s achieved so much in less than a year. Nicki became the queen of collabos but that was after 4 years in the game…Azealia has already collaborated with Lady Gaga, Missy Elliot and Kanye west. That’s pretty impressive. I think ya tend to forget how long it took nicki to get to her spot, ya only see the current success.
@Walter, And thats all thanks to WHO?? All the stuff you named Nicki BEENNDIDTHAT!Before Nicki’s first album came out she was doing shows for Versace , performing in Yankee satdium. Of course ANY female rapper with a good management can get them to do STUFF preciously done. They are only looking at A’Banks because shes only follwoing Nicki’s footsteps. Nicki;s FIRST TWO mixtapes were UNDERGROUND tapes. You cant bring up some mixtapes from 2007 then say ABanks accomplished so much with her 1 MAINSTREAM tape. Nicki didnt have a legit manager, AB’s manger manages Coldplay . Nicki’s Sucka Free Mixtape wasnt on Youtube or iTunes
@Walter, thanks for proving the point that nicki is helping these females out….only reason banks is getting ads and public attention is because of the work nicki put in….she made it a little easier for female rappers to get some attention
@Justsaying, lol ya delusional, theres no point in arguin with you guys. Now A banks mixtape is mainstream and nicki’s was underground? who’s fault is that, it aint A banks fault her mixtape is more successful. Her lyrics are just as gritty, ya just make excuses for everything. A banks is not following nicki’s footsteps thats for sure. 90′s artists opened doors for her not nicki
Oh Reply: November 20th, 2012 at 1:09 pm
@Walter, No YOUR delusional Nicki put out MIXTAPES when Female Rap wasn’t MAINSTREAM! Nicki has made FEMALE RAP MAINSTREAM, so any female rapper who has a good TEAM behind her can put out a MIXTAPE nowadays aint it be sold on iTunes, and have coverage. Even Kreayshawn shit’s on ABank’s career so you know shes not doing nothing. Isnt AB’s album coming out next year? And where is she NOW? You don’t put out an album in three months and expect to go platnium, shes not on Nicki level yet to do that.
@Kisses, And people forget that Nicki is still kinda NEW! Her first album came out only 2 years ago! So how can you say where’s her Grammy and all this stuff, Wheres Azealia commericials?Barbie?Fragrance?Movie?TVSHOW?On Forbes?Album? NOT THERE. You can’t rank someone as low as Banks to Nicki shes not even ON Nicki’s level YET! and it took kim HOW LONG to get a Grammy ? damn near 10 YEARS for a POP Feature!
@Oh, Nicki’s first mixtape came out almost 6 years ago…what kinda stan are you!?!?! Azealia’s came out less than 6 months ago, ofcourse you cant compare but compare the buzz… A B’S buzz is much bigger than nicki’s when she first released a mixtape sitting on some steps with a baby phat purse. I aint taking away from her sucess but im just saying
@Walter, ABanks was NEVER underground! What are you talking about EP Fantasea suppose to be “underground: the only mixtape you can compare of AB’s to Nicki is Beam Me Up Scotty
nicki the queen Reply: November 19th, 2012 at 8:16 pm
@Walter, okay azelia released an EP which flopped.
Omg the delusion azelia banks buzz was because of her beef with T.I and iggy and others include,so relax
Nicki Minaj’a acclodaes are her pepsi commercials, macy’s perfume line, and her position on American Idol? How about winning a grammy, maybe 6, like Lauryn Hill. Maybe selling more number one albums than Missy Elliot? No, no, no, you are not my idol or for any other MC. If you think commercial success makes any artist …. legendary. The jig is up!
P.S: besides the narcisstic lyrics, a style for many hip hop artists (nothing new) Nicki Minaj’s beauty shots are quite stellar.
Nicki Minaj did open doors because female rap was dead before Nicki Minaj! The last top selling Female Rap album was in 2002 #Fact You guys always wanna throw Kim into the mix but Kim NEVER had a #1 Album & her 1 Grammy win was from a FEATURE! Name another female rapper that has 2 #1 Albums, 4 AMAs, 6 BET Awards, 2 VMAs, Grammy Nominated debut album, 2 Headlining World Tours, Billboard’s Rising Icon, Named “Queen Of Hip-Hop” by Rolling Stones Magazine, Endorsement deals from Addidas, MAC, Pepsi, there own Barbie from Mattell, reality special on E & a FRAGRENCE! When another Female Rapper can pull that off in less than 3 years then holla at the kid! If that ain’t winning idk WTF is! #TeamMinaj
@Royaleeee, Nicki Minaj first album didnt go #1 Kanye West had the number one album with My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Sorry. Nicki only has one #1 album. Get that clear
@Enough Said, i was going to say something bad but you obviously don’t now whats going on,so ill let it slide, kayne west did land at 1# but ofter a few weeks Nicki album eventually climbed up to the #1 spot ofter spending some weeks in the top 10 and 5 spot,it was the longest for a female rapper album to spend in the top 5 and 10 spot,it don’t matter how long you take to got to one on the charts are land it in the first week a 1# is a 1#.
@Enough Said, ummm actually Nicki’s first album eventually made it’s way back up to #1 in February 2011…that’s how much it slayed…it stayed in the top 10 til then…ALSO although Kanye won first week sales…Pink Friday outsold My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy
nicki the queen Reply: November 19th, 2012 at 8:20 pm
@Enough Said, you need to do some research honey because after 11 weeks of being on the top 10 of the billboard 200 she reached the number one spot on february. Now tell me what female rapper has done that debut at number 2 with 365,000 copies spend 11 weeks on the top ten and the reach the number one spot.please have a seat
@nicki the queen, Ha im glad you responded to my comment because Nicki’s Re-up is #17 on Itunes top albums chart not even in the top 10. That re-up is a reflop. And the funny thing is her fans are running to her wikipedia page to say the album is past 1 million copies when that shit is still sitting at 640,000 lmaooo. So pressed to get RR to go platinum its a joke. Now you can have a seat.
@Enough Said, lmaoooo at reflop. Thats basically what it is except this re-up is gonna tank really hard. It cant be called a re-up if its gonna flop. The sales are gonna be like 20,000 or so. Rihanna is finally gonna have her number 1 album that shes deserved for so long i think her first week sales will be in excess of 250k this time around.
@Enough Said, 1. PF:RR is at 685,000.
2. No Hiphop album has outsold PF:RR this year.
3. No hiphop album has even gone GOLD this year other than Nicki’s
4. PF:RR is like a 1.3 million WW
5. Re-releases aren’t meant to do big numbers
6. I would hope that people’s LP sell more than a frikkin Re-release
7. This is no shade to Rihanna…i love her and i hope she finally gets a #1 album
@Trev, I don’t care how much re-releases are projected to sell, with Nicki’s 14m FF, heavy promotion, 7 new songs, a DVD, she should not debut with less than the amount of PFRR, which is $250K.
Rihanna doesn’t come in at #1 because she doesn’t mind releasing along with competition. She may not be able to beat out One Direction second week’s sale but she will do well.

Nicki Minaj’s fans cant even get this bitch into the Top 10 on itunes that is sad. Yall do realize shes sitting at #17 on itunes top albums chart with the Re-Up right?
@Owned, If you’ve seen her interviews she’s not expecting to sell alot. It’s just something for the fans to hold on to until the third album and also to leave the world with some new fresh Hip-Hop tracks. I think she’s charted enough times worldwide with RELOADED.
@Dadonroman, Yall can make excuses all day but her label is pushing out all these videos and singles and there not even charting well. Not only that but the Re-up is now sitting at #19 on Itunes top album chart on day one. Her fans dont give a shit about her at all.
@Owned, Her label isn’t MAKING HER do anything shes putting out music for her FANS!! And at least her album is even CHARTING ! Most of these artist that YALL BASIC HOES Stan for will never even see Top 40 on iTunes. And BTW Being #19 FOR A Re-RELEASE isn’t bad AT ALL! How can a re-release FLOP! It can’t!! It will only ADD to the sales of her 2nd album ! You bitches need to find out what a re-release is then talk your shit. If her fans didn’t care about her then she would NEVER be on Billboard, or have MILLIONS of VIEWS on Youtube, or have 15 million followers…. #StayFucknPRESSED BITCH NIGGA!
We can’t deny you are great! Like, probably the best female to do it. Furthermore, it’s ok to be aware of how good you are but it’s very close to becoming arrogant and narcissistic. The references to Jesus and the visuals creating parallels is too much for me. I honestly think that’s the problem. People aren’t just mad… you aren’t humble and don’t respect the work of those before you. Even when the greats are wrong, let your respect stand. I hope she catches this before she fall. Actually like this song, and video but can’t deal with the tude man. Pipe down Nick… continue to show homage and focus on mastering your craft. No more songs about how people don’t thank you. Soooo…what! Be great and that’s it.
Nicki did her thing in this video plus the song is dope lyrically Beasting concept was simple yet impacting message was clear throughout the treatment of filming this video well done Nicki !
I really like this video. And for the dumb ppl she’s not calling herself Jesus. She’s just saying how could she expect them to thank her if they didn’t even thank Jesus.
Nicki doesn’t really need to work with all the new Rappers, imagine MJ who opened a thusand doors to a lot of people, did he need to work with all of that people? Nope.
You also open doors when you inspire, when you move poeple, i’m not even a singer and i really think Nicki opened doors to me, show showed me not to be afraid of what people think.
Nicki don’t worry about those haters your music brings rappin to life your awesome just keep doin you your music inspires me and this video is one of them
Nicki your music always teaches me somethin new so stay focused out there and keep doin you I will alwayz be a fan no matter what so stay cool!$$$$$$!!!!!!

@Kaylaa,
Nicki didnt work with Trina hun,
They were both featured on someone elses song.

Just thinking

#TeamMinaj
