Solange gets caught up in the game of love on “Lovers in the Parking Lot.” The melodic song, which samples Schoolly D’s 1985 single “P.S.K.,” appears on her EP True, a collaboration with Dev Hynes (Blood Orange).
“Played around with your heart/ Now I’m playing around in the dark,” sings Solo in a falsetto over a snare drum.
The 7-song EP will be available on November 27 via Terrible Records followed by a physical release in January.

@MmmHmm, I don’t think it will. I think SITP was only a ‘special treat’ for those who bought LY on iTunes.

THANK YOU SOLO!
Unlike your sellout of a big sister, you’re staying true to the R&B/soul and hip-hop stylings of old…sure, you may have a smaller fanbase ’cause of it, but it’s one which is gonna always be there for you.

@Shutterbug, Her sister always have R&B and Soul songs in her albums. They weren’t singles but they sure were on the album.

@WayneRules2012, if you feel that way, why even click on the post? Geez. Nobody put a gun to your head and forced you to listen or pay attention to the music she makes.

I Love Solange, she is so real, so authentic in everything that she does. I like the fact that she oesn’t kill herself for stardom but true lyrical ability flourishes in her work.

Only one negative comment on this page. One to many.
Solange is great. Amazing sound, voice and presence. Truly original. And in this day and age that is a hard thing to accomplish.
