Rap-Up.com || Nicki Minaj, 50 Cent, Game, & Young Jeezy Give Back for Thanksgiving

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, some of hip-hop’s biggest stars gave back to their communities. On Wednesday, 50 Cent joined Feeding America and the Food Bank for New York City to serve a holiday meal to New Yorkers in need and those affected by Hurricane Sandy.

There was a “Celebration” in Compton when Game returned to his old ‘hood to hand out turkeys to the locals. The self-proclaimed “Black Robin Hood” kissed women and babies and gave away over 1000 turkeys. After he ran out, he went back and bought 500 more to pass out. “Thankful to give,” tweeted Game.

Always one to keep it real, Young Jeezy hosted his annual turkey giveaway at The Gallery at South DeKalb in Decatur, Georgia. “Sharing is caring,” said the Snowman as he distributed turkeys to people of all ages and races.

Earlier in the week, Nicki Minaj visited her old elementary school P.S. 45 in Queens to speak with the students and donate turkeys, while her YMCMB fam Birdman and Slim passed out turkeys and other Thanksgiving items in their native New Orleans.

She left 106 and went to give out the Turkeys. And as it was after school the kids came with their PARENTS and if thru felt she was dressed inappropuately they could have left. Also if they have an idea of who Nicki is and take offense to any of her music or public image they wouldn’t have (or shouldn’t have) brought their children.

Don’t try it. She threw on a wrap to try and cover herself. I feel she should have worn something different but I can understand the time constraints she was faced with. Once again the children were there with there PARENTS. She didn’t show up in the middle of the day when parents wouldn’t have been able to remove their children from the environment. You tried…

She shouts Brooklyn out a lot because she has family there and SB is from Brooklyn, and she lived there with him briefly.

I don’t know on what song she’s ever ‘dissed’ NY or Queens.

Oh God.You people always find a flaw in everything Nicki does and attacks her for it. Calm down. They’ve seen Nicki on TV, in Magazines, here, and there and she dressed even more provocative than this. If anything, people are used to it. But that doesn’t even matter. She’s giving back to the community and more importantly, making people happy. Give her props for that instead of crying over spilled milk.

I grew up listening to public enemy but you dont see my a$$ running around screaming ‘f*ck the police’. because my parents taught me whats right and whats wrong. thats not her job period. nicki can wear what she pleases if a child grows up to be a hoe thats a reflction on their parents, not because of Nicki Minaj. When celebrities don’t do anything it’s a problem when they do do something it’s still a problem. Then she did 106 & Park, donated 15,000 dollars to their can food drive, bought all her fans chicken and pizza, then immediately left there to give out turkeys to the kids. That’s love.
